Abstract:
A system for management of age verification using an internet enabled mobile device. The system provides ID verification using identification information comparison. The system further optionally provides display of completed and pending orders, routing to delivery destination, and prioritizing of deliveries.
Abstract:
A barcode on a medium is received. It is determined whether misalignment of a printhead of the printer is present based on bars in the barcode.
Abstract:
Methods and systems are disclosed for generating and authenticating barcodes and in particular generating trusted barcodes. In one embodiment, a method, performed by a certificate authority for creating a trusted content, comprises receiving, via a receiver, a target content and verifying the target content to determine whether the target content is safe or appropriate. Further, the method comprises, based on a result of the verifying, generating and storing, in a storage medium, response data; generating, via a processor, and storing in the storage medium an identifier corresponding to the response data; generating, via the processor, resolution data, the resolution data including the identifier and an address of the certificate authority; and transmitting, via a transmitter, the resolution data as the trusted content.
Abstract:
The invention concerns a system for controlling user access to a service having a read device (210) arranged to contactlessly read a payment card (211) of a user; and a control block (214) coupled to an entry gate (202), the control block arranged to determine whether online payment authorization should be requested for the payment card, wherein if it is determined that online payment authorization should be requested, the control block is arranged to allow the user access to the service prior to completing an online payment authorization for the payment card.
Abstract:
A device for checking a secured object provided with at least one security element for generating sequential or dynamic optical effects according to the orientation thereof and/or the movements applied thereto, has a display screen, a position and/or motion sensor and a device for generating and displaying on the screen a simulation of the nominal security element associated with the secured object, the display depending on the orientation of the device as determined by the position and/or motion sensor, so as to be able to compare the security element of the object to be checked and the simulation according to the respective orientations or movements thereof. A method for checking the secured object is by means of such a device.
Abstract:
In order to improve read stability, a printing condition is set based on not visual read of a user, but read with an optical information reading apparatus. A printing quality evaluation apparatus includes: an image acquiring section that acquires an image; a symbol extracting section that extracts the symbol in which the printing quality can be evaluated from the captured images acquired by the image acquiring section; a printing quality evaluation section that evaluates the printing quality of the symbol extracted by the symbol extracting section; an identification information recognition section that recognizes the identification information identifying each printing condition of the symbol; and an evaluation output section that outputs the identification information, which is recognized by the identification information recognition section, and an evaluation result of the printing quality of the printing quality evaluation section according to the symbol extracted by the symbol extracting section.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a method for enabling a user in an augmented reality gaming venue to use an augmented reality gaming venue component and a mobile device to find a particular game or gaming machine. The method includes: controlling a camera on the mobile device using the augmented reality gaming venue component, once the component is activated; determining the location of the mobile device; determining the orientation of the mobile device; querying a casino management system to retrieve data for the augmented reality gaming venue; generating a list of gaming machines and other objects currently visible to the camera; rendering a camera-captured image on a display of the mobile device; and overlaying icons on the image for each visible object to display additional visual information to a user on the display of the mobile device in response to the user aiming the mobile device at gaming machines or other objects of interest in the augmented reality gaming venue.
Abstract:
A printing control method for line light source detection, for controlling at least one printing parameter of a printing apparatus. The printing control method includes: utilizing a line light source to scan a barcode to derive a barcode profile corresponding to the barcode; deriving a grading information corresponding to the barcode according to the barcode profile and a threshold, and deriving a modified barcode profile according to the grading information and the barcode profile; and adjusting the at least one printing parameter of the printing apparatus according to the modified barcode profile.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a method for enabling a technician to open a door of a gaming machine without needing a physical key using a gaming system having a biometric controlled door lock. The method includes: enabling the technician to scan a barcode on the gaming machine using a camera on a mobile device; sending the image of the barcode via a network to a server; determining a gaming machine ID using the barcode decoding module, wherein the gaming machine ID is used by a gaming machine ID database to determine which gaming machine has been scanned; enabling a picture to be taken of a technician that has presented itself to the camera of the mobile device; transmitting the picture of the technician; using facial recognition software to identify the technician and authorize the technician's corresponding employee ID; receiving a mobile device identifier that is transmitted from the mobile device to the biometric lock component; enabling receipt of a technician's personal identification number that is transmitted from the mobile device to the biometric lock component; after the gaming machine receives an unlock signal, causing the door solenoid to unlock the door; wherein four credentials are passed to the biometric lock component to unlock the door solenoid, the four credentials including the employee ID, the mobile device identifier, the gaming machine ID, and the technician's personal identification number.
Abstract:
Customized transactional cards are created in one of various ways. The card holder may obtain a blank transactional card already having an encoded account number, create a customized design, and then apply the customized design to the blank transaction card such as by printing the design onto a label to be applied to the blank transactional card or directly onto the card. The card holder may obtain a blank transactional card which has not yet been authorized with an account number, create a customized design, apply the customized design to the transactional card, and at some point send the transactional card to the card issuer where it can be authorized by having an account number applied to it and then returned to the card holder. The card holder may access a web site to create a customized design and then the card issuer creates the transactional card according to the customized design and sends the transactional card having an encoded account number to the card holder.
