摘要： A metal frame structure designed to fit and attach on top of a half height ISO open top container. This extends the vertical height to which general cargo can be loaded and secured in a half height open top container. The cargo extension frame also serves as a securing structure for cargo items of irregular sizes and shapes or in circumstances where the upper portion of a cargo item may be top heavy or difficult to block and brace. When the cargo extension frame is not in use, the four vertical legs can be folded parallel to the underside of the left and right side longitudinal rails to facilitate handling and storage.

The cargo containers support cargo and have a plurality of passageways around the cargo and through the containers between the outsides and insides of the containers. Cooling air is conveyed from the refrigeration units into the containers, around the cargo and from the containers back to the refrigeration units.

摘要： The skid device of the present invention includes two skid plates having a rectangular configuration. Each of the skid plates are mounted underneath a flatrack container along an underside longitudinal edge portion of the flatrack. The mounting to the underside is through a plurality of linkages having one end secured to the top of each of the skid and the second end secured to the underside of the flatracker container. The linkages are dimensioned and provided with a drive for progressively lowering the skid whereby the flatrack container rests on the skids when so desired. Locks are provided whereby the linkages may be locked at one of several altitudes. The drive also returns the skid to its folded position in confronting relationship with the underside of the flatrack container and the latter rests on two beams spaced from a longitudinal centerline of the flatrack container. The drive is generally disposed to drive the respective linkages of both skids simultaneously.

摘要： An adaptor for a hook-lift vehicle provided with a hydraulically-operated lifting mechanism on its chassis to load and unload freight containers having conventional corner fittings, the adaptor comprising an adaptor frame for attachment to the lifting mechanism and including releasable securing members for co-operation with the end corner fittings of a container to secure the frame to the container, and a pair of pivotal, laterally-spaced support surfaces for location one to each side of the rear end of the chassis whereby, subsequent to securing the adaptor frame to the front of a container on the ground and on actuating the lifting mechanism, the front of the container is drawn upwardly onto the chassis until the outer lower side regions of the container engage the support surfaces, continued actuation of the lifting mechanism drawing the container over the pivoting surfaces and onto the chassis.

The small containers are of the type having foot portions formed with channels or openings for receiving fork lift arms. The frame structure includes a bottom group with a plurality of parallel struts extending in one direction and a number of further frame members extending in the other direction. These struts and frame members form windows for receiving the foot portions of the small containers. Locking members are provided which engage the channels formed in the foot portions of the small containers for coupling these to the frame structure.

摘要： A motor vehicle, such as a semi-trailer or the like, has an elongated load-supporting horizontal base frame having a first and a second end portion. A plurality of supporting legs are mounted on the base and pivotable between an upright orientation in which they engage the ground and a substantially horizontal upper retrated orientation. Mounting arrangements mount these legs on the base frame so that they can be shifted transversely of the elongation thereof underneath of the base frame, and laterally outwardly thereof, respectively. A vehicle-mountable chassis frame also has a first end portion and a second end portion; the latter slides under the cooperating first end portion of the base frame when the chassis frame is moved lengthwise beneath the base frame in order to support the latter when the legs are in the retracted position thereof. Guide ramps are provided on one or both of the cooperating end portions of the two frames, to facilitate the movement of the chassis frame underneath the base frame. A traverse extends across the chassis frame in the region of the second end portion of the same, and engaging portions on the base frame are provided which engage the transverse when the second end portion of the chassis frame moves beneath the second end portion of the base frame, so as to locate the frames relative to one another.
