Abstract:
A box wrench assembly has latch edges and accommodating grooves sequentially disposed around the internal periphery of an operating end of a box wrench, and each accommodating groove is disposed between two latch edges, and a groove is disposed proximate to the middle of a protruded surface of the latch edge to divide a cambered surface into two, so as to fit screw pieces of different shapes when the wrench is used.
Abstract:
A gear wrench allowing easy force application, having: a head, formed with a receiving compartment thereon for receiving a gear ring, the head extending along a first plane; a tail, extending along a second plane; and a neck, provided between and integrally formed with the head and the tail; characterized in that: the first plane is parallel to the second plane, and the neck obliquely extends from the head towards the tail to form a height difference between thee head and the tail. As such, the vertical component of force may be eliminated or minimized so as to effectively reduce occupational hazards; the horizontal component of force may also be increased such that the operator only requires a lower force to effectively tighten or loosen up a fastener.
Abstract:
A clamping device for providing high twisting forces and low damage to a screw device comprises a handle; a driving portion formed with a space; the space including at least two resisting portions and at least two adhesion portions; the resisting portions and adhesion portions being alternatively arranged; each of the connection of the resisting portion and the adhesion portion being formed with a recess for receiving apexes of a screw means so as to prevent the screw means from damage; and each resisting portion having two cambered protrusions at two ends and three sharp teeth between the two cambered protrusions; the apexes of cambered protrusions and sharp teeth being collinear. Furthermore, the driving portion of the present invention can be used to a sleeve so that sleeve has the same function of the driving portion. Thereby it is preferred that there are three resisting portions and three adhesion portions.
Abstract:
There is disclosed a fold-away wrench having a wrench head (9) pivotally mounted on a handle (2). The wrench head (4) is an open flexible ring socket (3a) locatable over a fastener such as a nut, bolt or screw to move it. Pins (17) are provided for engagement with the wrench head (4) to close the wrench head over a fastener to be moved. Preferably, the wrench head (4) is pivotable on an axis pin (10) at one end of the socket ring while at the other end of the socket ring is a fulcrum pin (17) for closing the socket over the fastener.
Abstract:
The English and Metric Wrench (M & I Wrench) is a design with inch on one end of the wrench and metric on the other end. The English and Metric Wrench will be made of forged steel and carbon which will be case hardened and polished. In conditions where you do not want sparks, the English and Metric Wrench will be made out of a brass alloy.
Abstract:
A ratchet wrench is provided having a flexible ring forming the head where the flexible ring may have serrations on its inner surface and forms a free end having a pawl thereon. The flexible ring is formed as one piece with the handle of the wrench. Upon tightening, the flexible ring will tighten down on a fastener and upon a non-tightening rotation, the pawl will ratchet against the corners of the fastener according to the self energizing geometry of the wrench where an arc is provided on a shoe of the handle which is eccentric to the arc of the flexible ring. In an embodiment, a gear insert is provided within the flexible ring for engagement with the fastener, torquing and ratcheting of the flexible ring being relative to the gear insert. In an embodiment, the a insert may be provided that has a substantially smooth outer surface including circumferential engagement features for engaging a substantially smooth facing surface of the flexible ring.
Abstract:
A wrench structure includes a wrench body having a handle portion. The handle portion is formed with a reinforcement portion having a first side formed with a first holding portion and a second side formed with a second holding portion. The first holding portion has a plane vertical to that of the second holding portion. Thus, the user's hand and the holding portion of the wrench body have a larger contact area, so that the holding portion of the wrench body can apply a larger force and torque to drive and rotate the workpiece, such as the nut or the like.
Abstract:
A wrench including a stem having a head section at one end of the stem and a polygonal socket formed in the head section for fitting onto a screwed member. A resilient ring is disposed at the head section and pivotally connected with a controlling switch pivotally disposed at the head section. By means of operating the controlling switch, the resilient ring is driven to expand or close. In the closed position, the resilient ring obstructs at least one inner angle of the socket to prevent the screwed member from detaching out of the socket and clamp the screwed member in the socket. In the expanded position, the resilient ring frees the inner angle, permitting the screwed member to freely pass through the socket.
Abstract:
A hand operable wrench is described which comprises a wrench head at one end thereof, and a substantially metallic lever formed as a handle extending in a longitudinal direction from the wrench head. The wrench head has an imaginary axis of wrench rotation, and the handle is formed substantially nontwisted comprising a first handle portion, a second handle portion and a third handle portion. The first handle portion connects to the wrench head, and the second handle portion is longitudinally positioned between the first and third handle portions. The first and third handle portions each have a cross-sectional shape when viewed in a cross-sectional plane substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal direction. The cross-sectional shape of the first handle portion is elongated in a direction substantially perpendicular to the axis of wrench rotation of the wrench head, and, the cross-sectional shape of the third handle portion is elongated in a direction substantially parallel to the axis of wrench rotation of the wrench head.
