摘要: A respiratory mask assembly for delivering breathable gas to a patient includes a frame and at least one locking clip. The frame has a main body and a side frame member provided on each lateral side of the main body, at least one of the side frame members including a locking clip receiver assembly. The at least one locking clip has a main body providing a front portion adapted to be removably coupled with the at least one locking clip receiver assembly and a rear portion adapted to be removably coupled to a headgear assembly. The rear portion includes a cross bar that forms an opening through which a strap of the headgear assembly can pass and be removably coupled with the cross bar, and the front portion includes at least one resiliently flexible spring arm that is flexible within the plane of the main body.

摘要: A reduced pressure treatment system includes a porous pad positioned at a tissue site and a canister having a collection chamber, an inlet, and an outlet. The inlet is fluidly connected to the porous pad. A reduced pressure source is fluidly connected to the outlet of the canister to such that fluid from the tissue site may be drawn into the collection chamber. A hydrophobic filter is positioned adjacent the outlet to prevent liquid from exiting the collection chamber through the outlet. A baffle is positioned within the canister to create a tortuous path between the inlet and the outlet to prevent premature blocking of the hydrophobic filter.

摘要: A connector includes a mask end for connecting with the interior of a respiratory mask, a supply conduit end, and a gas washout vent passage having an inlet adjacent to, or forming part of, the mask end in fluid communication with the interior of the respiratory mask and an outlet in fluid communication with atmosphere. The vent outlet of the vent passage is disposed on the side of the connector remote from the mask end. A respiratory mask includes a mask shell, a mask inlet for connecting with the outlet of a breathable gas supply conduit, and a gas washout vent passage. A vent outlet is disposed on the side of the mask remote from the mask interior and is adapted to direct the washout gas in a direction substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis of the mask inlet and away from the mask inlet.

摘要: The present invention relates to a system for increasing the temperature of a fluid being infused into a patient's body while the infusion is taking place. The present invention also provides for improved monitoring of air in the infusion system such to prevent the introduction of air into the patient's body receiving the fluid infusion. The present invention also provides for a system pump which provides a variable flow rate that serves a vast amount of infusion needs and purposes. A disposable cartridge in accordance with the present invention will allow for the efficient transfer of heat energy to the fluid being infused into the patient's body. The cartridge will further ensure that deleterious amounts of air will not be introduced into the patient's body.

摘要: The invention provides an inhaler for dispensing medicament. The inhaler comprises auxiliary energy provision means for providing auxiliary energy for aerosolising medicament; energy release means for releasing auxiliary energy from the auxiliary energy provision means; feed means for feeding a dose of medicament, characterised in that the inhaler comprises control means for controlling a time interval between aerosolisation of the medicament and a user's inhalation. The inhaler is operable, in use, to aerosolise medicament using the auxiliary energy, and harness the user's inhalation to deliver the aerosolised medicament to the user.

摘要: The invention consists of a powder inhalator for administrating medications. The inhalator, according to the invention, has a chamber with a mechanism for opening the medication capsule and an aerodynamic chamber in which the medication particles are separated from the currier capsules. In the aerodynamic chamber. On the opposite side to the mouthpiece opening, there are air inlet ducts which form a multidirectional system of air ducts. The air ducts are shaped in a way which makes the air that flows through them create at least three streams. Due to the intersecting of the air streams the air flow is strongly turbulent even if low speeds are involved. Consequently the separation of the active substance particles form the carrier surface is very effective.
