摘要: Described is a vaccine against Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV). More specifically, described is a recombinant subunit vaccine comprising the ectodomain of the RSV-encoded Small Hydrophobic (SH) protein. The ectodomain of SH is referred to as SHe. The ectodomain is typically presented as an oligomer, or pentamer. Further described are antibodies, raised against the ectodomain or specific for the ectodomain, and their use for protecting a subject against RSV infection and/or for treatment of an infected subject.

摘要: This disclosure relates to a modified α-helical bundle cytokine, with reduced activity via an α-helical bundle cytokine receptor, wherein the α-helical bundle cytokine is specifically delivered to target cells. Preferably, the α-helical bundle cytokine is a mutant, more preferably it is a mutant interferon, with low affinity to the interferon receptor, wherein the mutant interferon is specifically delivered to target cells. The targeting is realized by fusion of the modified α-helical bundle cytokine to a targeting moiety, preferably an antibody. This disclosure relates further to the use of such targeted modified α-helical bundle cytokine to treat diseases. A preferred embodiment is the use of a targeted mutant interferon, to treat diseases, preferably viral diseases and tumors.

摘要: A treatment of cancer, particularly the treatment of neuroblastoma. Indeed, the discloses that a particular long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) is specifically up-regulated in neuroblastoma cells as compared to other cancer cells and that high expression of the lncRNA correlates with a lower survival probability. Inhibition of this lncRNA in neuroblastoma cells leads to a reduction in cell growth and induction of apoptosis and is a novel therapeutic strategy in the treatment of neuroblastoma.

摘要: A method for an intermediary node to reduce a number of server-client sessions between a server (104) and a plurality of clients (102a, 102b, 102c) communicably connected to the server (104) over a network is disclosed. The intermediary node (106) intercepts a first request and a second request destined to the server (104) from a first client (102a; 102b; 102c) and a second client (102a; 102b; 102c). The intermediary node (106) establishes a server-client session, between the intermediary node (106) and the server (104), using the first request. If the first request overlaps in part with the second request and if a part of the second request is not overlapping with the first request, the intermediary node (106) updates the server-client session between the intermediary node (106) and the server (104) to include a part of the second request.
