    Abstract: Player-to-player eye contact is used to establish a private chat channel in an augmented reality (AR) or virtual reality (VR) setting. Since maintaining eye contact requires agreement from both parties, it allows both players an equal amount of control when performing the mutual action. Eye tracking may be used for determining whether mutual eye contact has been established. In the case of AR, “inside out” eye tracking can be used, whereas in a VR setting only inside eye tracking need be used. Techniques are described to confirm and establish a channel once eye contact has been held.

    Abstract: The second ring (third terminal) of a tip-ring-ring-sleeve (TRRS) plug is divided into two arcuate segments that face each other, with one segment being connected to a ground line and the other segment to a detect signal line. An extension port device can be connected to both segments to short the segments together to produce a detection signal indicating engagement of the plug with a jack in, e.g., a game controller such as a wireless DualShock® (DS-4) controller.

    Abstract: A controller add-on system includes a housing that mechanically couples to a game controller body. A conformable surface of the housing is configured to conform with a bottom of the body of the game controller. A plurality of buttons coupled to the housing are located opposite the conformable surface. A controller interface coupled to the housing is configured to communicatively couple to the plurality of buttons to the game controller. Buttons on the add-on may be mapped to controller buttons using customized button mapping pre-sets. A button mapping may indicate that a selected preset is to be hidden during a switching operation Upon receiving a switching operation input, the selected pre-set is skipped during the switching operation.

    Abstract: The present disclosure is related to unmanned aerial vehicles or drones that have a capability of quickly swapping batteries. This may be accomplished even as the drone continues to fly. A drone consistent with the present disclosure may drop one battery and pickup another using an attachment mechanism. Attachment mechanisms of the present disclosure may include electro-magnets, mechanical actuators, pins, or hooks. Systems consistent with the present disclosure may also include locations where replacement batteries may be provided to aircraft via actuation devices coupled to a physical location.
