    Abstract: A social networking application provides for automated link and/or content recommendation to users of a social media platform by automated social graph refinement that augments a baseline social graph with predicted links and inferred labels by iteratively (a) propagating attribute labels through optimizing attribute label similarity between user nodes constrained by closeness of links between the users, and (b) predicting links between users through optimizing link closeness constrained by label similarity. Each label inference iteration is based on predicted labels generated in and immediately prior link prediction iteration, and each link prediction iteration is based on inferred labels generated in and immediately prior label inference iteration.

    Abstract: Systems and methods are described for determining that the user interaction with a display of a computing device during display of a video comprising a sequence of frames indicates a region of interest in a current frame of the sequence of frames of the displayed video. For each frame of the sequence of frames after the current frame, the frame is cropped to generate a cropped frame comprising a portion of the frame including the region of interest in the frame, the cropped frame is enlarged based on a display size corresponding to an angle or orientation of the computing device during display of the video, and the enlarged cropped frame replaces the frame such that the enlarged cropped frame is displayed in the sequence of frames of the video on the display of the computing device instead of the frame.

    Abstract: Systems, devices, methods, media, and instructions for automated image processing and content curation are described. In one embodiment a server computer system receives a plurality of content communications from a plurality of client devices, each content communication comprising an associated piece of content and a corresponding metadata. Each content communication is processed to determine associated context values for each piece of content, each associated context value comprising at least one content value generated by machine vision processing of the associated piece of content. A first content collection is automatically generated based on context values, and a set of user accounts are associated with the collection. An identifier associated with the first content collection is published to user devices associated with user accounts. In various additional embodiments, different content values, image processing operations, and content selection operations are used to curate content collections.

    Abstract: Systems and methods for image based location estimation are described. In one example embodiment, a first positioning system is used to generate a first position estimate. Point cloud data describing an environment is then accessed. A two-dimensional surface of an image of an environment is captured, and a portion of the image is matched to a portion of key points in the point cloud data. An augmented reality object is then aligned within one or more images of the environment based on the match of the point cloud with the image. In some embodiments, building façade data may additionally be used to determine a device location and place the augmented reality object within an image.

    Abstract: Systems, methods, devices, media, and computer readable instructions are described for local image tagging in a resource constrained environment. One embodiment involves processing image data using a deep convolutional neural network (DCNN) comprising at least a first subgraph and a second subgraph, the first subgraph comprising at least a first layer and a second layer, processing, the image data using at least the first layer of the first subgraph to generate first intermediate output data; processing, by the mobile device, the first intermediate output data using at least the second layer of the first subgraph to generate first subgraph output data, and in response to a determination that each layer reliant on the first intermediate data have completed processing, deleting the first intermediate data from the mobile device. Additional embodiments involve convolving entire pixel resolutions of the image data against kernels in different layers if the DCNN.

The acoustic environment identification system can use one or more convolutional neural networks to generate audio feature data. A recursive neural network can process the audio feature data to generate characterization data. The characterization data can he modified using a weighting system that weights signature data items. Classification neural networks can be used to generate a classification of an environment.
