    Abstract: Wireless communications systems and methods related to on-demand ultra-reliable, low-latency communication (URLLC) are provided. In one embodiment, a base station (BS) receives, from a user equipment (UE) in a first cell frequency, a request for a protocol data unit (PDU) session over a network slice. The BS receives, from a core network entity, a resource configuration request for the PDU session over the network slice. The BS transmits, to the core network entity, a resource configuration response indicating a cause for rejecting the resource configuration request. In one embodiment, a UE transmits, in a first cell frequency of a network, a network registration request message requesting a network slice of the network that is not provided by the first cell frequency. The UE receives a network registration response message indicating the network slice is allowed based on a second cell frequency of the network providing the network slice requested.

    Abstract: In one aspect, a remote device generates data for transmission to a network based on an application, selects one of a set of data routing options for routing the data to the network based on policy control information; each of the set of data routing options includes routing the data via a relay device; and transmits the data to the relay device for routing the data via the selected data routing option. In another aspect, a relay establishes a protocol data unit (PDU) session with a network for relaying data received from a remote device based on policy control information, receives data from the remote device, and transmits the data to a base station coupled to the network via the PDU session. Another aspect relates to the base station operation with respect to the above aspects.

    Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for ensuring compatibility between network slice operating frequencies and user equipment (UE) radio capabilities. An example method generally includes receiving, from a network core entity, a request for information about capabilities of a user equipment (UE) and information about a plurality of network slices in an allowed set of network slices for the UE; identifying, based on UE capability information, a subset of the allowed set of network slices that the UE can use for communications between the UE and the network entity; generating a response including at least the subset of the allowed set of network slices that the UE can use for communications between the UE and the network entity; and transmitting the response to the network core entity.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may determine whether a geographic location code associated with a geographic location of the UE matches a geographic location code in a received message. Based on the determination, the UE may select a non-public network (NPN) function. Additionally or alternatively, a UE may discover or select an NPN function based on determining that legal requirements, such as one or more interception conditions, are independent of the geographic location of the UE. For example, the UE may discover and one or more NPN functions according to a query performed using an NPN function identifier or an NPN identifier. The UE may determine that the NPN function selection (e.g., for a geographic location of the UE) is independent of an interception condition (e.g., associated with the geographic location of the UE).

    Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may transmit a registration request for restricted access (RA), wherein the registration request selectively includes an onboarding access request. The UE may selectively communicate with an onboarding network to authenticate and authorize a particular network based at least in part on whether the registration request includes the onboarding access request. The UE may complete the RA registration after transmitting the registration request and based at least in part on selectively communicating with the onboarding network to authenticate and authorize the particular network.
