    Abstract: This disclosure provides methods, devices, systems, and computer programs encoded on storage media, for clear channel assessment (CCA) for a wide bandwidth channel. For example, a wide bandwidth channel may have a bandwidth that is greater than 160 MHz bandwidth. An example wide bandwidth channel has a 320 MHz bandwidth. The CCA techniques include detection thresholds that may be used for wide bandwidth channels. In some implementations, a CCA process may be extended to include assessments of extended portions of a wide bandwidth channel (such as a tertiary 80 MHz bandwidth channel and a quaternary 80 MHz bandwidth channel). In some implementations, a CCA process may be extended to use an assessment of a secondary channel of the wide bandwidth channel that has a 160 MHz bandwidth.

    Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, devices, apparatus, and methods, including computer programs encoded on storage media, for techniques for reducing feedback information in an extremely high throughput (EHT) wireless local area network (WLAN). A receiving device (beamformee), such as a station (STA), may receive a sounding signal from a transmitting device (beamformer), such as an access point (AP), and transmit channel feedback. The receiving device may transmit the channel feedback as part of a reduced compressed beamforming feedback (CBF) operation that includes determining a first set of channel characteristics. The receiving device may select a subset of the first set of channel characteristics and determine a set of differential characteristics based on the subset. The transmitting device may then transmit the sets of characteristics as reduced CBF to the transmitting device. The transmitting device may determine a channel estimation for beamformed signaling based on the reduced CBF.

    Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media for orthogonal multiplexing of high efficiency (HE) and extremely high throughput (EHT) wireless traffic. Devices in a wireless local area network (WLAN) may operate under HE or EHT conditions. An access point (AP) may support both HE and EHT communications with WLAN devices. To enable substantially simultaneous downlink HE and EHT transmissions and substantially simultaneous uplink HE and EHT transmissions, the AP may support orthogonal frequency-division multiple access (OFDMA) of HE and EHT transmissions. For example, pre-HE and pre-EHT modulated fields, HE and EHT modulated fields, and payloads may be aligned in time for the HE and EHT transmissions. The AP may ensure orthogonality for multiplexing the HE and EHT transmissions based on the alignment. In some implementations, a trigger frame may be utilized to indicate uplink transmission alignments.

    Abstract: One aspect includes a method of establishing, via a first access point, a distributed MIMO joint transmission opportunity with one or more second access points to one or more stations. The method comprises generating, via a processor, a first message for transmission to the stations and the second access points. The first message indicates a null data packet transmission and the stations configured to receive a stream during the joint transmission opportunity. The method also comprises transmitting the first message to the second access points and the stations.     Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for multiplexing clients of different generations in trigger-based transmissions, including trigger-based transmissions in extremely-high throughput (EHT) Wi-Fi systems. An access point (AP) may generate a trigger frame compatible with two types of stations (STAs), such as EHT STAs and legacy (or high efficiency (HE)) STAs. The AP may transmit the trigger frame to a group of STAs, where legacy STAs may process the trigger frame a legacy trigger frame. EHT STAs may process the trigger frame to determine resource unit (RU) allocations for uplink transmissions in a bandwidth greater than a legacy bandwidth. An EHT STA may determine the resources in the larger bandwidth based on an EHT RU allocation table, a legacy RU allocation table and an additional bit in the trigger frame, or an ordering of RU allocations in the trigger frame.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. An access point (AP) may configure a preamble for a wireless transmission to include information indicative of a corresponding extremely high throughput (EHT) packet. In some cases, the preamble may be configured to include a signaling field indicative of the EHT packet. In some cases, symbols or bits of the preamble may be configured to indicate the EHT packet. In yet other cases, a field of the packet may be masked to indicate the EHT packet. A wireless station (STA) may receive the configured preamble, and based on the preamble, may receive (e.g., decode) the EHT packet.

    Abstract: A method of wirelessly communicating a packet can include generating, at a wireless device, a packet including a plurality of symbols. The method further includes segmenting an input bit vector into a plurality of symbol vectors according to one of a sequential or distributed segmentation procedure. The method further includes splitting each of the plurality of symbol vectors into two or more split vectors according to one of a sequential or round-robin split procedure. The method further includes mapping each of the split vectors into the plurality of symbols according to one of a block-level repetition or a symbol-level repetition. The method further includes transmitting the packet.
