Abstract:
A mobile communication device, includes: a radio frequency (RF) receive chain; a control unit configured to tune the RF receive chain to receive signals from one of a first radio access technology (RAT) and a second RAT different from the first RAT; and a first signal modification unit configured to modify the signals received from the first RAT. The control unit is further configured to suspend operation of the first signal modification unit when the RF receive chain is tuned to receive signals on the second RAT.
Abstract:
Devices, systems, articles of manufacture, and methods for optimized page matching is disclosed. According to some embodiments, a portion of a sub-slot is read. A page message is extracted from the portion of the sub-slot. A page matching procedure is performed prior to the end of the sub-slot. Other aspects, embodiments, and features are also claimed and described.
Abstract:
Apparatus and method for wireless communication in a wireless communication network include receiving a synchronization channel message parameter at a user equipment (UE) from a network entity. The aspects also include transmitting data to the network entity based on the synchronization channel message parameter. Additionally, the aspects include determining whether an assignment of a reverse supplemental (RS) channel to the UE is performed by the network entity. Still further, the aspects include incrementing a counter value when the network entity fails to assign the RS channel. The aspects also include selecting another network entity when the counter value reaches a predetermined threshold. Other aspects, embodiments, and features are also claimed and described.
Abstract:
The various embodiments provide methods for implementing a forced reselection strategy after causing colliding subscriptions to perform reselection to neighboring cells. In various embodiments, the MSMS communication device may undo the effects of forced reselection in certain situations when continuing to employ forced reselection may be ineffective. In other embodiments, the MSMS communication device may force reselecting subscriptions to reselect to neighboring cells in a paging group based on the page timings of the neighboring cells. Thus, the various embodiments may increase the performance of the colliding subscriptions and may enhance the user's overall experience.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatus for wireless communication in mobile device that includes operating communication resources according to a first subscription to establish an active call at a certain transmit power. Aspects of the methods and apparatus include tuning away the communication resources to operate according to a second subscription. Aspects of the methods and apparatus include tuning back the communication resources to the first subscription from the second subscription. Aspects of the methods and apparatus also include calculating an adjusted transmit power for the first subscription and operating the first subscription on the adjusted transmit power.
Abstract:
Apparatus and methods are disclosed for establishing a call utilizing a traffic channel corresponding to a first communication protocol; transmitting a data rate control (DRC) channel comprising a null cover for no greater than 16 time slots; tuning away from the call to receive signaling corresponding to a second communication protocol; and following the receiving of the signaling corresponding to the second communication protocol, tuning back to the traffic channel to resume the call.
