Abstract: A first UE in a UE group may determine that a sidelink channel is available for data transmission and transmit SCI reserving a COT on the sidelink channel. A second may receive, from the first UE, the SCI reserving the COT on the sidelink channel and transmitting the sidelink transmission on the sidelink channel using one or more resources of the inter-group sharable resources. The COT may include a first set of resources reserved for the first UE, an intra-group sharable resources capable of being shared by the UE group, and an inter-group sharable resources capable of being shared by the second UE outside of the UE group. The second UE may perform the CAT 1 or CAT 2 LBT procedure to contend for the inter-group sharable resources. The access to the inter-group sharable resources may be limited.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may determine to switch from a first cell of a first distributed unit (DU) to a second cell of a second DU, wherein the first DU and the second DU are included in a set of DUs of a central unit (CU). The UE may communicate, using layer 1 (L1) or layer 2 (L2) signaling to change an activation status of at least one cell of the first DU or the second DU. The UE may switch from the first cell to the second cell in connection with the change to the activation status of the at least one cell of the first DU or the second DU. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure relate to wireless communications, and more particularly, to mobility techniques that allow for dynamically updating a set of cells activated to serve a user equipment (UE) based on physical (PHY) layer or medium access layer (MAC) layer measurement procedures. An example method generally includes receiving signaling configuring the UE with a set of cells that support physical (PHY) layer or medium access control (MAC) layer mobility signaling and with a measurement configuration for the set of cells, participating in a physical (PHY) layer or medium access control (MAC) layer measurement procedure with one or more cells in the set of cells, receiving PHY layer or MAC layer mobility signaling based on participating in the PHY layer or MAC layer measurement procedure, and updating a subset of activated cells for serving the UE based on the mobility signaling.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment may receive, from a base station, a message that triggers aperiodic channel state information (CSI) reporting for sidelink communications between the UE and another UE, wherein the message indicates a first set of sidelink CSI reference signal (CSI-RS) resources to be used by the UE for CSI-RS transmission; transmit a first set of CSI-RSs in the first set of sidelink CSI-RS resources; receive an indication of one or more modulation and coding schemes (MCSs) for sidelink communications between the UE and the other UE based at least in part on transmitting the first set of CSI-RSs; and communicate with the other UE using an MCS of the one or more MCSs. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Abstract: This disclosure provides wireless nodes, methods, apparatus, means plus and computer-readable mediums for randomly determining detection thresholds, such as energy detection (ED) thresholds, and then using such randomly determined thresholds to determine whether a channel is busy or idle when performing clear channel access (CCA). In some implementations, a new random detection threshold may be determined at a start of each backoff or each subsequent backoff slot. In some other implementations, a range of energy from which the detection threshold is randomly determined may depend on measurements of traffic activity, the number of MAC addresses observed or the priority of the traffic.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, apparatus and wireless nodes as well as computer programs encoded on computer-readable mediums for providing synchronized start times of backoff windows in a given or particular physical area. In some implementations, a schedule of synchronized start times may be determined and an indication that the first schedule is active may be signaled. In some other implementations, signaling indicating a first schedule of synchronized start times is active may be detected and channel access may be performed according to the first schedule.

Abstract: Techniques for new radio layer two relay are disclosed. In an example, a base station may configure a user equipment (UE) and a relay UE having individual direct communication links with the base station to configure a sidelink communication link between the UE and the relay UE. The sidelink communication link may allow the UE to communicate with the base station via the direct communication link between the base station and the UE and the sidelink communication link between the UE and the relay UE.
