Abstract:
Composite image information which is generated by embedding invisible sub-information in visible main image information and recorded on a recording medium is read. A spatial frequency component unique to key information used to restore the sub-information is extracted from the composite image information read from the recording medium. The sub-information is reconstructed from the extracted spatial frequency component.
Abstract:
Oil ports formed on a cylindrical sleeve of an oil passage switching valve are covered with respective filters. The filter is formed in a ring shape by rounding a resilient metal strip having plural filter holes formed thereon. The filter clings around the outer periphery of the cylindrical sleeve by its own resiliency. A contacting portion is formed on one of overlapping ends of the filter ring or on both overlapping ends so that the contacting portion engages with the other overlapping end to prevent the filter ring from being enlarged by an oil pressure applied to the filter from its inside. Foreign particles in the oil are surely prevented from entering into the sleeve by the filter covering the oil port in close contact therewith.

A molding composition comprising an aggregate [Component (A)], a linear unsaturated polyester [Component (B)] and/or linear unsaturated polyester polyamide [Component (C)], and a radical generator [Component [D]), characterized in that each of Component (B) and Component (C) comprises a specific alkylene oxide adduct of bisphenol A in an amount of from 3 to 50 mol % based on the total amount of constituent monomers of each of Component (B) and Component (C) and a molded article obtained by molding the composition.
Abstract:
An apparatus control method forms hidden image information comprising hidden information related to control instruction of a controlled apparatus and forms composite image information by embedding the formed hidden image information in the invisible state against the main image information. The formed composite image information is recorded on a recording medium and the composite image information is read from the recording medium that records the composite image information. The hidden information is restored by extracting hidden image information from the read composite image information and control instruction is decoded from the restored hidden information and a controlled apparatus is controlled by executing the decoded control instruction.
Abstract:
A receiver to receive a mixture of progressive and interlace video broadcast signals without being conscious of switching between the broadcasting systems. The receiver receives the mixed video broadcast signals having different formats, converts received video signals to video signals having a different signal format from the signal format of the received video signals. The receiver simultaneously outputs the received video signals and the converted video signals. This allows the user to be unaware of any switching when the video input changes between the different broadcasting systems, by connecting a television set to either the interlace scanning system output or the progressive scanning system output of the receiver.
Abstract:
Additional information, composed of characters, images, voice, etc., is converted into two-dimensional codes and then converted into a visible additional image to be embedded. The additional image is embedded in a full-color main image in a state of invisibility to produce a composite image. The composite image is recorded on a non-electronic medium such as paper or on an electronic medium, such as a memory on a personal computer, over the Internet. The embedded additional image is extracted from the composite image recorded on the recording medium and the additional information is reproduced.
Abstract:
An evaporated fuel treatment apparatus having a correction checking means for detecting the state of change in the internal pressure of the fuel tank when the fuel tank is closed after being placed under atmospheric pressure, a leakage checking means for detecting the state of change in the internal pressure of the fuel tank when the fuel tank is closed after being placed under a negative pressure, and a judgement means for judging the presence or absence of leakage in the fuel tank on the basis of the detection results obtained by the leakage checking means and the correction checking means. The apparatus includes calculating means for calculating the amount of fuel consumption at the time of correction checking and the amount of fuel consumption at the time of leakage checking, and judgement prohibiting means for prohibiting a judgement of the presence or absence of leakage from being made by the judgement means in cases where the amounts of fuel consumption calculated at the time of correction checking and at the time of leakage checking are substantially different. As a result, a judgement of the presence or absence of leakage in the tank system is prevented from being performed in cases where such a judgement might be inaccurate.
Abstract:
An evaporated fuel treatment apparatus that has a leakage checking means that detects the conditions of change in the internal pressure of the fuel tank when said fuel tank is closed after being placed under a negative pressure, and a judgement means that judges the presence or absence of leakage in the fuel tank on the basis of the detection results obtained by the leakage checking means and correction checking means. The apparatus further includes a pressure variation checking means which detects the degree of pressure variation in the fuel tank, and then opens the fuel tank to the atmosphere and judges whether or not the pressure inside the fuel tank has dropped. Judgement prohibition means is provided that prohibits a judgement of the presence or absence of leakage from being made by the judgment means in response to a judgement by the pressure variation checking means that the pressure has dropped. Accordingly, a judgement of the presence or absence of leakage in the tank system is prevented from being performed in cases where such a judgement might be inaccurate.
