    Abstract: Example methods and apparatus for determining a timing advance are described. One example method includes obtaining ephemeris information of a satellite, where the ephemeris information includes coordinates of the satellite and an ephemeris error of the satellite. A timing advance is determined according to a preset rule based on the ephemeris information and location information of a terminal device, where the location information includes coordinates of the terminal device and a positioning error of the terminal device. The preset rule is determined by using a first horizontal distance, a first vertical distance, the ephemeris error, and the positioning error.

    Abstract: A bandwidth part switching method, is applicable to a non-terrestrial network (NTN) to implement BWP switching based on multi-color frequency-division multiplexing. In the method, a terminal device may report, in a second BWP to a network device, an index of a first SSB whose signal quality is greater than or equal to a first threshold in one or more SSBs in a first BWP, and switch from the second BWP to a third BWP. The one or more SSBs correspond to at least one BWP other than the first BWP, and the third BWP is in the at least one BWP and corresponds to the first SSB. After receiving the index of the first SSB in the second BWP, the network device determines the third BWP, and performs service data transmission with the terminal device in the third BWP.

    Abstract: An interleaving method and apparatus are provided, to reduce complexity of implementation processes of polar code interleaving and rate matching. The method includes: obtaining encoded bits after polar code encoding, and sorting the encoded bits based on a priority order of performing a rate matching operation, to obtain a first bit sequence. The first bit sequence includes j subsequences, and j is a positive integer. The method further includes writing the first bit sequence into an interleaver of i rows and j columns. Bits in a column in the interleaver include one of the j subsequences; and reading out bits from the interleaver column by column, until M bits are read. At least two adjacent columns have opposite readout directions, and M is a target code length.

    Abstract: A coding method, a decoding method, an apparatus, and a device are provided. The method includes: coding, by a sending device, an information bit sequence to obtain a coded bit sequence, where the coded bit sequence includes an information bit, a frozen bit, a CRC check bit, and a frozen check bit; and a value of the frozen check bit and a value of the CRC check bit are obtained by using a same cyclic shift register; performing, by the sending device, polar coding and rate matching on the coded bit sequence to obtain a to-be-sent rate-matched sequence; and sending, by the sending device, the rate-matched sequence. According to the method, time and space for coding calculation and decoding calculation can be effectively reduced, and calculation complexity is reduced.

    Abstract: Example polar code-based transmission methods and apparatus are provided, to apply polar encoding to a physical broadcast channel (PBCH). One example method includes performing polar encoding on a to-be-encoded first bit sequence by a transmit end to generate an encoded sequence. The transmit end performs a transformation operation on the encoded sequence to obtain a second bit sequence, where the transformation operation includes at least one of scrambling, interleaving, or reordering. The transmit end sends the second bit sequence in M inconsecutive time units, where at least two time intervals between the time units in the M inconsecutive time units are unequal.

    Abstract: A polar code coding method and apparatus are provided. The method includes: determining, based on a target code length corresponding to an information bit sequence, a first mother code length corresponding to the information bit sequence; and performing polar code coding on the information bit sequence based on the first mother code length and mapping relationship information, where the mapping relationship information includes a correspondence between a mother code length and at least one of the following: a transport block size, a construction work point, or a construction sequence.     Abstract: A polar encoding and rate matching method is provided, including: determining one or more to-be-deleted rows of a generator matrix, where the generator matrix is determined based on a preset mother code length, and a column in which 1 in the one or more to-be-deleted rows is located includes at least one column with a column weight being 1; deleting, from the one or more to-be-deleted rows, a row corresponding to a polarized channel with lowest reliability, and deleting, from a column in which 1 in the row is located, a column with a column weight being 1, to obtain an after-deletion generator matrix; using the after-deletion generator matrix as a generator matrix to repeat the foregoing steps, until an order of a final generator matrix is equal to a target code length; and performing encoding and rate matching on a to-be-encoded bit based on the final generator matrix.
