Abstract: Techniques discussed herein can facilitate one or more enhancements to beam management for a User Equipment (UE) operating in a Discontinuous Reception (DRX) mode. A first set of techniques relates to enhancements to transmission of Scheduling Request(s) (SR(s)) by UEs operating in DRX mode. A second set of techniques relates to enhancements to beam failure detection and recovery by UEs operating in DRX mode. Abstract: A user equipment (UE) and a network agree on the use of a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) codebook. The UE receives a plurality of downlink control information (DCI) transmissions during a corresponding plurality of physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) monitoring occasions from the base station, wherein each DCI transmission schedules multiple physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) transmissions on a corresponding one of a plurality of component carriers (CCs), receives a time domain resource allocation (TDRA) table configuration from the base station, determines a maximum number of PDSCH transmissions per CC based on the TDRA table configuration, groups the plurality of CCs together and determines a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ)-acknowledgement (ACK) codebook size based on a number of the multiple PDSCH transmissions, the maximum number of PDSCH transmissions, and a resulting ACK or negative acknowledgement (NACK) for each of the multiple PDSCH transmissions.

Abstract: A user equipment (UE) associated with a wireless communication system is disclosed. The UE comprises a processor configured to receive a first downlink control information (DCI) for scheduling a first physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH). The first DCI includes a non-numerical (NN) value of K1 for hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ)-ACK feedback. The processor is further configured to determine a first priority class associated with the first PDSCH, and determine K1 value and priority class associated with one or more subsequent PDSCH received from the BS, until a selected PDSCH having a numerical K1 value and a same priority class as the first priority class is identified. Further, the processor is configured to provide HARQ-ACK feedback associated with the first PDSCH using a PUCCH/PUSCH occasion indicated by a second DCI scheduling the selected PDSCH.

Abstract: An approach to reduce the signaling overhead for tracking reference signal (TRS) configuration signaling to idle and inactive user equipments (UEs) operating in a wireless communication system. Conventional signaling approaches require more bits that can be conveyed in the maximum system information block (SIB) message size. One proposed approach optimizes the signaling by removing unnecessary or redundant information, using a single TRS configuration to replace multiple configurations, size reduction in some fields, and the sharing of some fields across different TRS configurations. Another proposed approach uses an SIB message to carry the TRS configurations for a particular beam or subset of beams. These two proposed approaches may be combined to provide further optimization possibilities.

Abstract: An apparatus configured to be employed in a user equipment (UE) associated with a new radio (NR) system is disclosed. The apparatus comprises one or more processors configured to select a first resource from a candidate resource set comprising a plurality of candidate resources within a first resource selection window. In some embodiments, the first resource is to be utilized by the UE for a first transmission of a transport block (TB) over sidelink. In some embodiments, the one or more processors is further configured to generate a first transmission signal comprising the first transmission of the TB, to be transmitted over the sidelink using the selected first resource.
