Abstract:
This invention provides a first communication apparatus, which makes a facsimile communication via a packet communication network and can describe different contents image header information each including a date, time, source information, destination information, and the like in image data having a predetermined number of pixels upon sending the image data to a plurality of destinations, and a communication method. This invention also provides a second communication apparatus which makes a facsimile communication via a packet communication network and has a first mode in which image header information such as a date, time, source information, destination information, and the like can be described in image data having a predetermined number of pixels and can send the image data, and a second mode in which image data having one of various resolutions and an indefinite number of pixels can be sent.

Abstract:
Provided is an image communication apparatus which describes the mail addresses of all recipients in electronic mail address fields To, Cc, and Bcc, thereby allowing each recipient to check to whom the mail has been transmitted, and which can add the transmission date and time, sender information, recipient information, and the page number information to the header portion of a scanned image. The image communication apparatus of this invention includes an image reading unit for optically reading an image and converting the read image into electronic data, a transmission address input unit capable of designating a plurality of destinations, an address field forming unit for forming an electronic mail address field describing all the addresses designated by the destination input unit, an image header adding unit for adding address information of at least one address to the image read by the image reading unit, an image converting unit for compressing the synthesized image, an electronic mail data forming unit for forming electronic mail data on the basis of the electronic mail address field and the compressed image obtained by the image converting unit, and a transmitting unit for transmitting the electronic mail data formed by the electronic mail data forming unit to each destination.

Abstract:
Disclosed is a communication apparatus in which it is possible to change the size of data transmitted at one time, the data size being changed to one size in case of transmission of e-mail via a mail server and to different size in case of transmission that is not performed via a mail server. E-mail data having image data as an attached file is generated and it is determined whether a predetermined server will intervene when e-mail is transmitted to a transmission destination. When it has been decided that the destination will be a mail server, it is determined whether the e-mail data has exceeded a prescribed size. E-mail data for which it has been determined that the prescribed size is exceeded is divided into a plurality of segments and then the e-mail data is transmitted to destination decided.
Abstract:
There is provided a data communication apparatus comprising a reception means for receiving data via a public network, a reception data storage means for storing the data received by the reception means, into a storage medium, a search sheet output means for outputting a search sheet used to search the data stored by the reception data storage means, an input means for inputting the search sheet output by the search sheet output means and an output means for searching and outputting the data which has been stored in the storage medium by said reception data storage means, in response to the input of the search sheet by the input means. Therefore, the data which has been received from a facsimile apparatus or an electronic mail transmission apparatus is subjected to so-called filing, such that the data can be stored for the later search.
Abstract:
An information recording and/or reproducing apparatus for recording data onto and/or reproducing data from a recording medium such as a magnetic disk, a magnetooptic disk, or the like by irradiating a laser beam emitted from a light source such as a semiconductor laser onto a desired track of the recording medium through an optical system, wherein the apparatus includes a single processor for executing an input/output control of data for the apparatus and a servo process of the laser beam by interrupting the servo process between the input/output control at every predetermined period. The processor switches a precision of the servo process in accordance with a predetermined situation such as a change in operating mode.
