Disclosed is a semitransparent reflector having a whole light transmittance (T) of 10-80%, a whole light reflectance (R) of 20-90%, (T+R) of 80-100%, and (R−Rd) of 8-30% in which Rd is the whole light diffusion reflectance. When installed in a display device, the semitransparent reflector ensures efficient light transmission and reflection, and attains a high transmittance and a high reflectance of the display device, therefore significantly improving the letter visibility of the device.

The present invention provides less expensive ink jet recording papers having high glossiness and high durability and being capable of quickly absorbing inks without causing bleeding. Accordingly, the present invention provides an ink jet recording paper having an ink-receiving layer provided on a porous resin film, wherein the porous resin film has a liquid absorption capacity measured in accordance with “Japan TAPPI No.51-87” of 0.5 ml/m2 or above and the ink-receiving layer has a surface glossiness (JIS-Z8741: measuring method at 60°) of 40% or above. It is preferable that the ink jet recording paper contains at least one member selected from among alumina, alumina hydrate and amorphous silica in the ink-receiving layer.

The object of the invention is to provide an electrophotography recording paper having excellent density, color tone, gradation, fixing properties and recording qualities, while having excellent water resistance and durability. The object may be obtained by constructing an electrophotography recording paper 1 by laminating a recording layer 3 comprising a synthetic resin film having a coating layer 4 on at least one side of a base material layer 2 comprising a paper material having a water resistance. The electrostatic capacity of the electrophotography recording paper is controlled at 10 pF/cm2 or more. It is desirable that the synthetic resin film as the recording layer 3 be a polyester film, particularly a polyethylene terephthalate film.
