Abstract: Aspects described herein relate to determining multiple beams to use in transmitting messages in a random access procedure with one or more transmission/reception points (TRPs) of a cell, and transmitting, to the one or more TRPs of the cell, multiple instances of a first random access message based on the multiple beams, where each of the multiple instances of the first random access message include a preamble portion and a payload portion. In another aspect, a node receiving the multiple instances of the first random access message can determine multiple beams to use in transmitting messages in the random access procedure and can transmit with one or multiple TRPs, to the UE and in response to the first random access message, multiple instances of a second random access message based on the multiple beams.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment may receive a first configuration and a second configuration, wherein the first configuration is for a discontinuous reception (DRX) cycle and the second configuration is for a configured grant (CG), wherein the DRX cycle is associated with a set of active time durations and a set of non-active time durations, and wherein the CG is associated with a transmission in one or more non-active time durations of the set of non-active time durations; receive information identifying a mask, wherein the mask indicates a modified configuration for the transmission in the one or more non-active time durations or a modified multiplexing scheme for the CG; and selectively perform or skip the transmission in accordance with the CG and the mask. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Abstract: Aspects described herein relate to on-demand soft acknowledgement (ACK)/negative acknowledgement (NACK) in radio access and other wireless networks, such as fifth generation new radio (5G NR), 3GPP Long Term Evolution (LTE), 3GPP LTE-Advanced (LTE-A), Wi-Fi, and the like. In an example, the aspects may include receiving, from a network entity, a request to enable soft ACK/NACK feedback; enabling the soft ACK/NACK feedback based on the request, where the soft ACK/NACK feedback comprises at least a link quality metric per diversity branch; and transmitting, to the network entity, the soft ACK/NACK feedback based on a determination to enable the soft ACK/NACK feedback.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive information identifying a transmission configuration indicator (TCI) state, wherein the TCI state identifies an association between a periodic demodulation reference signal (DMRS) and a target reference signal. The UE may communicate the periodic DMRS identified by the TCI state. The UE may transmit or receive the target reference signal based at least in part on the periodic DMRS and the TCI state. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. For example, a communication device may receive control signaling (e.g., a broadcasted control signal) from another communication device. The control signaling may indicate beam information for one or more beams of a set of beams. The one or more beams may correspond to the serving cell or one or more neighboring cells. The beam information may include one or more metrics associated with each of the one or more beams. As such, the communication device may determine that a metric associated with each of the one or more beams satisfies a threshold, select the beam, and communicate using the selected beam. In some other examples, the beam-specific information may include beam measurement offsets for one or more beams. In such examples, the communication device may select a beam based on the beam measurement offsets and perform communications using the selected beam.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatuses, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for wireless communication. In one aspect of the disclosure, a method for wireless communication includes shifting, based on a partial overlap between a scheduled downlink transmission occasion and a scheduled uplink transmission occasion that each include a first and second repetition, a first repetition boundary of one transmission occasion of the downlink transmission occasion or the uplink transmission occasion, and performing full duplex communication with repetition based on the shifted first repetition boundary. In some implementations, shifting includes shifting an entirety of the one transmission occasion. In some implementations, shifting the first repetition boundary changes a number of consecutive symbols included in the first repetition of the one transmission occasion. In some implementation, the method includes adding a third repetition boundary to the one transmission occasion. Other aspects and features are also claimed and described.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described in which spatial relations for one or more uplink reference signal transmissions, such as sounding reference signal (SRS) transmissions, may be configured and a particular spatial relation indicated in a medium access control (MAC) control element (CE). A base station may configure a pool of available spatial relations for use in SRS transmissions, and the MAC-CE may indicate which spatial relation of the set of available spatial relations is to be used. In other cases, the MAC-CE may provide all of the spatial relation information for an associated SRS transmission. The UE, responsive to receiving the MAC-CE, may transmit a SRS to the base station using the indicated spatial relation.
