    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) may transmit a capability message indicating that the UE supports operation in an enhanced uplink carrier aggregation mode for transmission of a first uplink message on a first component carrier overlapping in time with transmission of a second uplink message on a second component carrier. The transmission of the second uplink message may be associated with one or more interruption time gaps on the first component carrier. The UE may transmit the first uplink message on the first component carrier and the second uplink message on the second component carrier in accordance with the enhanced uplink carrier aggregation mode.

    Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for wireless positioning. In an aspect, a user equipment (UE) transmits an uplink reference signal towards a first reconfigurable intelligent surface (RIS) associated with at least one base station, receives, from the first RIS, a reflection of the uplink reference signal, wherein at least one transmission parameter of the reflection identifies the reflection as the reflection of the uplink reference signal, and enables a distance between the UE and the first RIS to be calculated based, at least in part, on a transmission-to-reception (Tx-Rx) time difference measurement for the UE, the Tx-Rx time difference measurement representing a difference between a transmission time from the UE of the uplink reference signal to the first RIS and a reception time at the UE of the reflection of the uplink reference signal from the first RIS.

    Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for wireless communication. In an aspect, a relay user equipment (UE) receives, from a base station, a set of one or more resource pool for positioning (RPP) configurations, each RPP configuration defining one or more RPPs for use by remote UEs served by the relay UE, each RPP comprising resources for positioning, which may include for sidelink positioning. The relay UE assigns, to each of one or more remote UEs, an RPP or a portion thereof according to the RPP configuration. In some aspects, the assignments are orthogonal in time, frequency, or both, to reduce interference between remote UEs during sidelink positioning. In some aspects, the relay UE receives the RPP configuration(s) in response to sending a request for same to the base station, which the relay UE may send in response to receiving a request for positioning resources from one or more of the remote UEs.
