Abstract: A method for providing primary frequency response for a renewable energy plant coupled to an electric power grid, the renewable energy plant having an intermittent energy source coupled thereto by an inverter, the method comprising: using a renewable energy plant control system, measuring frequency and determining a first difference signal between the measured frequency and a frequency reference; measuring power output from the renewable energy plant and determining a second difference signal between the measured power output and a power reference; generating an error signal from a sum of the first and second difference signals; generating a control signal by applying the error signal to a controller; limiting the control signal output from the controller to between predetermined minimum and maximum power limits for the inverter; while the control signal is limited by the predetermined minimum power limit for the inverter, disabling an integral function of the controller; and, applying the control signal to the inverter to control the power output from the intermittent energy source.

Abstract: A method for training a power system scheduling model includes: generating a plurality of first scheduling sub-models based on a first initial scheduling model; acquiring a first matching degree of historical running state information and each of candidate actions, output by each of the plurality of first scheduling sub-models, by inputting the historical running state information into each of the plurality of first scheduling sub-models; generating a second initial scheduling model by correcting the first initial scheduling model based on first matching degrees corresponding to each of the plurality of first scheduling sub-models; and returning to the generating the plurality of first scheduling sub-models based on the second initial scheduling model, until the matching degree output by the second initial scheduling module meets the convergence condition, determining the second initial scheduling model as the power system scheduling model.

Abstract: An energy storage and delivery system includes an elevator, where the elevator is operable to move one or more blocks from a lower elevation to a higher elevation to store energy (e.g., via the potential energy of the block in the higher elevation) and operable to move one or more blocks from a higher elevation to a lower elevation (e.g., by gravity) to generate electricity (e.g., via the kinetic energy of the block when moved to the lower elevation). The energy storage system can, for example, store electricity generated from solar power as potential energy in the stacked blocks during daytime hours when solar power is available, and can convert the potential energy in the stacked blocks into electricity during nighttime hours when solar energy is not available, and deliver the converted electricity to the electrical grid.

Abstract: A cryptocurrency computing power supply system includes a solar DC power generation system, a DC power bus, an electronic control system and a mining node power management system. The solar DC power generation system is structured to provide DC power to a DC/DC converter. The DC power bus is structured to selectably receive power from the DC/DC converter and to provide DC power to a number of mining servers. The electronic control system is structured to selectably control the cryptocurrency computing power supply system to operate in plurality of modes. The mining node power management system includes optimizing power distribution from the solar DC power generation system to the plurality of mining servers using a cryptocurrency solar curve algorithm generated based on an analysis of statistically predicted patterns of energy usage and production.
