Abstract: There is provided a liquid discharge head including: an individual channel member including individual channel rows; a first common channel member including first common channels and a first partitioning wall, and a damper joined to the first common channel member with adhesive. The damper has first portions that are elastically deformable and overlap with the first common channels and a second portion joined to the first partitioning wall and connected to the first portions. The second portion is thicker than the first portions.

Abstract: Implementations of the disclosed subject matter provide a print bar for organic vapor jet (OVJP) deposition is provided that includes a plurality of n print head segments, where each of the plurality of print head segments may have an OVJP print head. The print bar may include a plurality of distance sensors, where each of the plurality of distance sensors may be configured to measure a distance between a substrate disposed below the print bar and a portion of at least one of the print head segments. The print bar may include a plurality of not more than n+1 actuators configured to adjust at least one of a position and an orientation of one or more of the plurality of print head segments based upon one or more distances between the substrate and the print bar measured by one or more of the plurality of distance sensors.

Abstract: A head array includes heads arranged in a longitudinal direction at different positions shifted in a direction orthogonal to the longitudinal direction. Each head includes: pressure chambers communicating with nozzles; common supply channel tributaries communicating with the chambers; a common supply channel mainstream communicating with the common supply channel tributaries; common collection channel tributaries communicating with the chambers; a common collection channel mainstream communicating with the common collection channel tributaries; a supply port at one end of the common supply channel mainstream; and a collection port at one end of the common collection channel mainstream. The supply and collection ports are on a same side of each head in the longitudinal direction. A direction of flow of the liquid in each common supply channel tributary is opposite between the heads. A direction of flow of the liquid in each common collection channel tributary is opposite between the heads.

Abstract: A print element board includes a surface provided with a first side and a plurality of terminals arranged along the first side near the first side, in which an angle at a first peak located at a first end of the first side is smaller than an angle at a second peak located at a second end of the first side, and a printing element electrically connected with the terminals for recording. A distance between the first peak and a first terminal disposed closest to the first peak is longer than a distance between the second peak and a second terminal disposed closest to the second peak.

Abstract: A head comprises multiple nozzles on an ejection surface. The number n of nozzle rows each comprising a plurality m of nozzles arranged in a direction intersecting a first direction are disposed parallel to each other, where n and m are integers 2 or greater. Between the nozzles of each nozzle row, the nozzles of other of the nozzle rows are located as viewed in the first direction and the plurality of nozzles are located at the number m×n of dot positions. An interval defined by the number of dot positions from a dot position where one nozzle is arranged to a dot position just before a dot position where a next one of the nozzles is arranged in each row is referred to as nozzle pitch. At least one of the rows comprises two or more types of the nozzle pitches varying in the number of the dot positions.

Abstract: A method for printing a plurality of scan lines with one or more inkjet heads includes receiving at least one scanline; creating, from pixels of said at least one scanline, a plurality of bundles of a predetermined size comprising first bundles and consecutive bundles, said first and consecutive bundles comprising pixels for which nozzles of the one or more inkjet heads have to be fired within a first time period and within a consecutive time period, respectively; and storing said plurality of bundles in a first memory. The method includes transferring said plurality of bundles from first memory to second memory; and repeating until all said pixels are available in the second memory as the first bundles. Nozzles of the one or more inkjet heads are fired in accordance with the first bundles within the first time period and steps repeated for consecutive bundles and associated respective consecutive time periods.

Abstract: An inkjet printhead includes: a rigid elongate manifold having at least one ink supply channel and a lower surface with a longitudinal ink cavity defined therein, the longitudinal ink cavity having a roof and sidewalls extending between the roof and the lower surface; a metal film sealingly attached to the lower surface so as to bridge across the longitudinal ink cavity, the film having a plurality of film apertures for receiving ink from the longitudinal ink cavity; and a plurality of printhead chips attached to the film, each printhead chip receiving ink from the longitudinal ink cavity via the film apertures. A plurality of through-holes are defined in the manifold to provide fluid communication between the ink supply channel and the longitudinal ink cavity. The through-holes extend perpendicular to the ink supply channel and the longitudinal ink cavity.
