摘要： A key switch device having an increased strength and a decreased thickness, and produced at a decreased cost yet offering good operation feeling. The key switch device 11 has a key top 13 mounted on a base plate 12 via a rubber spring 16 so as to be freely lifted and lowered, and the switching operation is effected upon depressing the key top 13, wherein a small link member 14 and a large link member 15 are provided between the base plate 12 and the key top 13 so as to turn at right angles without contacting to each other, the lower ends of the small link member 14 are slidably fitted into slide guides 12a and 12b formed in the base plate 12, the upper ends thereof are supported by bearing portions with slit 13a and 13b provided at the lower ends of the key top 13, the lower ends and the upper ends of the large link member 15 are supported by the bearing portions with slit 12c, 12d, 13c and 13d provided on the base plate 12 and at the lower ends of the key top 13, and the key top 13 is supported by the rubber spring 16, by the small link member 14 and by the large link member 15 so as to be freely lifted and lowered.

摘要： A push button assembly (30) includes a spring member (32) and a button (34). The spring member is secured to a computer bezel (10), and includes a rod (36), a pair of U-shaped crooks (38, 40), and a deformable arm (42) extending from one of the crooks. The deformable arm includes a connecting portion (44), a receiving portion (48) and a neck (50). The button is movably received in an aperture (16) of the bezel. The button defines a pair of grooves (54) which movably accommodate the receiving portion, so that the button can slide freely along the receiving portion. Thus the button can move freely in the aperture of the bezel.

Further, a key switch is constructed such that extruding parts 2 of a plurality of key tops 1 are integrally linked by means of a U-shaped bridging member 3 made of thermoplastic elastomer, thereby causing elastic deformation of the bridging member 3 at the time of pressing one of the plurality of key tops 1 so that an extruding part 2 of an adjacent key top is prevented from operating together.

The membrane circuit board switch has an upper membrane circuit layer, a lower membrane circuit layer, and a plurality of switch units. Each switch unit has a predetermined space between the upper and lower membrane circuit layers. The membrane circuit board switch particularly has a pressure regulating reservoir communicating with the predetermined spaces. When atmospheric pressure changes, the pressure regulating reservoir will adjust the pressure inside the predetermined spaces to make the predetermined distance keeping substantially constant.

The method and system comprise providing a protectant coating; and applying the protectant coating on surfaces of both the keypad and also the body to prevent sticking between the mating surfaces. A system and method is added in accordance with the present invention utilizing a protectant on critical surfaces which serves to prevent the residual buildup of contaminants following spills. In so doing the sticky key problem associated with the contaminated buildup is substantially eliminated.

摘要： It is proposed to produce a one-piece keyboard housing (2) in a simple but compact manner, and to use the internal gas pressure injection molding process (air mold process) by preference to this end. With this process, the keyboard housing (2) can be executed as a one-piece molded part with recesses (5, 6, 6.1) and cavities (7). The cavity (7) serves to reduce weight, and the process itself improves stability within the keyboard housing (2). The molded part is composed of a traylike first housing shell (5), in which can be mounted a keypad (3), and a second housing shell (6) with recesses (6.1) that joins the first housing shell (5) in an n-shape.
