摘要: A surgical guidance system has two cameras to provide stereo image stream of a surgical field; and a stereo viewer. The system has a 3D surface extraction module that generates a first 3D model of the surgical field from the stereo image streams; a registration module for co-registering annotating data with the first 3D model; and a stereo image enhancer for graphically overlaying at least part of the annotating data onto the stereo image stream to form an enhanced stereo image stream for display, where the enhanced stereo stream enhances a surgeon’s perception of the surgical field. The registration module has an alignment refiner to adjust registration of the annotating data with the 3D model based upon matching of features within the 3D model and features within the annotating data; and in an embodiment, a deformation modeler to deform the annotating data based upon a determined tissue deformation.

摘要: A device for stimulating neurons that includes a stimulation unit that applies mechanically tactile and/or thermal stimuli to the body surface of a patient that stimulate neurons with a pathologically synchronous and oscillatory neural activity. The device includes a measuring unit that records measurement signals of neural activity of the stimulated neurons, and a controller that controls the stimulation unit and analyzes the measurement signals. The controller actuates the stimulation unit to scan at least one part of the body surface of the patient along a path and thereby periodically applies stimuli and also selects two regions or more regions on the patient's body surface along the path where the phase synchronization between the periodic application of the stimuli and the neural activity of the stimulated neurons have a local maximum using the measurement signals. The stimuli are then applied in a delayed manner in the two regions.

摘要: A system predicts the mental state of a user using a variety of contact or contactless sensors that measure heart rate, breathing or other data of the user. The mental state may be flow, overload, underload, stress, attention, motivation, valence, arousal, etc. While performing a game-playing task the difficulty of the task is adjusted based upon the predicted mental state of the user. A classifier for classifying a mental state is trained using event marking and ground truth data. Computer usage generates event markers. Game playing is used to simulate a mental state. Interruptions of a user are prevented when the user enters a flow, focused, or effortful attention state by classifying that state and indicating physically or electronically that the user should not be interrupted. Interruptions of a user are also prevented when the user enters a mind wandering state by classifying or predicting that state and indicating physically or electronically that the user should not be interrupted. A cost of interrupting is calculated and displayed. Users may also be coached regarding mental state. Advertisements to the user may vary based upon a classified mental state of the user.

摘要: Brain modelling includes receiving time-coded bio-signal data associated with a user; receiving time-coded stimulus event data; projecting the time-coded bio-signal data into a lower dimensioned feature space; extracting features from the lower dimensioned feature space that correspond to time codes of the time-coded stimulus event data to identify a brain response; generating a training data set for the brain response using the features; training a brain model using the training set, the brain model unique to the user; generating a brain state prediction for the user output from the trained brain model, and automatically computing similarity metrics of the brain model as compared to other user data; and inputting the brain state prediction to a feedback model to determine a feedback stimulus for the user, wherein the feedback model is associated with a target brain state.

摘要: An example system disclosed herein includes an analyzer to determine a first priming characteristic of media at a first location based on first neuro-response data and determine a second priming characteristic of the media at the second location based on second neuro-response data. The example system includes a selector to select a third location in the media after the first location or a fourth location in the media after the second location as a candidate location for introduction of advertising material based on the first priming characteristic and the second priming characteristic. The selector is to select the third location when the first priming characteristic indicates increased receptivity to the advertising material at the first location relative to the second priming characteristic and select the fourth location when the second priming characteristic indicates increased receptivity to the advertising material at the second location relative to the first priming characteristic.

摘要: Provided herein are methods for analyzing in vivo a brain circuit. A method of the present disclosure may include using optogenetics to stimulate a first region of a brain of an individual, in conjunction with functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) of different regions of the brain to determine a dynamic functional connection between individual neurons of the first region and a second region of the brain. The method may further include identifying a third region of the brain, the neurons of which region mediate the dynamic functional connection between the first and second regions.

摘要: A system for analyzing effects of mineral crystals to a human body and the method for performing the system comprises a helmet, a brainwave; a brainwave transceiver; a processor unit. The processor unit includes a processor transceiver, a brainwave calculating unit, a testing person database, a physiological and psychological effect database, a brainwave comparison module. In test, a specific mineral crystal is located in different distance from a testing person to test effects of the mineral crystal to the testing person; the testing person wears the helmet and the brainwave transceiver transmits measured brainwaves to the processor unit; and then the processor unit calculates statistical data about the brainwaves, and from the physiological and psychological effect database, effects of the mineral crystal to the testing person can be determined.
