    Abstract: Disclosed is a device for securing a first article such as a bung in a second article such as the substantially closed end of a container having a receptacle for receiving the bung. The device comprises means mounting selected portions of the first article and selected portions of the second article for rotating the first article in the second article in a first direction a predetermined distance to capture the first article in the second article and means mounting the first article and engaging the second article to permit rotation of the first article relative to the second article in a direction opposite to the first direction and to limit rotation in the direction opposite to a distance less than the predetermined distance.

    Abstract: A security guard for protecting the coin receptor unit of a coin operated automatic washing machine, dryer or similar machine embodying a heavy metal cage structure fitted about the coin rceptor housing so as to prevent unauthorized removal of the coin box therefrom. The guard is provided with a first sidewall member and a top wall member which are integrally related at right angles to one another. A second sidewall member is hingedly joined to the top wall member and operationally parallels the first sidewall member. A fixed bolt or shaft extends from the inside of the first sidewall member laterally through the coin receptor unit and is received through an opening in the second sidewall member when the latter is swung into operating position. A front wall member of the guard is also hinged to the first sidewall member and is arranged to swing over the front end of the receptor unit, blocking off access to the coin box. The front wall member is provided with an opening for the passage of a hardened steel shaft or bolt which anchors to the front wall member and passes through an opening formed for that purpose near the outer end of the fixed bolt so that the two are thus intersectingly interlocked exteriorly of the receptor and guard in operation. A suitable padlock or other locking means is provided to secure the bolt and shaft in their interlocked relationship, preventing its unauthorized removal.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a novel and improved locking device and preferably a detachable or removable locking device for locking the fuel or lubricating systems of heavy duty construction equipment. The present device comprises an L-shaped body member having a base portion and an integral upstanding leg portion. An elongated slot is provided in the base portion thereof arranged to receive the stems and handles of the oil fill and dip stick of a bulldozer. A separate locking bar having cutout portions coinciding with the stems is pivotally mounted at one end of the member and is arranged to slide into and out of engagement with the bar to position the cutout portions in locking position relative to the oil fill and dip stick stems. Means is provided for securing the base member and locking bar in position whereby the caps for the oil fill and dip stick cannot be removed. In a modified form of the invention, a locking device for the fuel fill caps of heavy duty construction equipment is provided and comprises a hollow, cylindrical body member arranged to fit over and surround the cap and filling spout and be welded to the tank. A locking bar pivotally mounted on one side of the cylinder wall is arranged to extend across a cutout in the open end of the cylinder and to be locked in place by means of a padlock, or the like, to the opposed cylinder wall, thus making removal of the cap impossible.
