    摘要： A cable connector of the clamp type having a female member with a C-shaped sleeve and a tail, and a male member with a cylindrical head and a tail, with cable receiving bores in the head and sleeve and with the members arranged so that movement of the tails toward one another effects clamping of the cable, is particularly characterized by its ability to clamp cables of different diameters. The members are constructed to minimize the cable insertion angle so as to permit insertion of larger diameter cables without interference with the body upon which the connector is mounted, and still permit clamping of smaller diameter cables. An index or a stop serves to position the tails at a predetermined angular spacing to control the clamping force.

[Also in Division H2] A screw-type terminal for mounting electrical conductors 15 comprises an arched flexible clamp 6 and a screw with an unthreaded portion 4 and threaded portion 2 engaging a tapped hole 1a in a plate 1 supported by an insulating mount A. The clamp 6, which is formed from a sheet metal blank (Fig. 4, not shown) having bevelled edges (13) and provided with an oval aperture (11), embodies an aperture 5 widened transversely round its upper edge 8 with respect to the top of the. arch, with a lower edge 7 having the form of a non-planar closed curve whose projection on a plane perpendicular to the axis of the aperture 5 is a circle of diameter only slightly larger than that of the unthreaded portion 4 of the screw. The clamp is held captive on the screw by the screw thread, which is rolled on after location of the clamp. The shape of the edge 7 does not allow this edge to engage the thread in the manner required for unscrewing. The surface of the plate 1 is formed with bosses 19 locating in corresponding hollows on the underside of the clamp 6.
