Abstract:
A connector (10) to be mounted on a case (C) of a device includes a resin housing (30). A shield bracket (50) is fixed to the case (C) to cover the housing (30) and wires (W) are drawn out through a rear opening (51A). Rubber plugs (24) are accommodated in cavities (37) in the housing (30) and seal between inner surfaces of the cavities (37) and the wires (W). A resin back retainer (40) is mounted in a wire draw-out portion (32) of the housing (30) to be arranged in a tubular portion (51) of the shield bracket (50) with the wires (W) supported and retains the rubber plugs (24). Wire protecting portions (46) are provided at positions of the back retainer (40) at a distance from the wires (W) and project back from the rear end opening (51A) of the shield bracket (50).
Abstract:
The present teachings provide for a connector including a first body and an assurance body. The first body defines a first locking member, a cavity and a slot. The cavity accepts a terminal inserted therein to a first distance. The slot extends into the first body and intersects the cavity. The first locking member is configured to prevent withdrawal of the terminal when the terminal is inserted to the first distance. The assurance body is movable between a preset and a full set position within the slot, and includes a reinforcing member and a second locking member. The full set position, the reinforcing member limits movement of the first locking member to prevent the withdrawal of the terminal, and the second locking member extends into the cavity to prevent withdrawal of the terminal independent of the first locking member.
Abstract:
A connector (1) includes a housing (7) for housing a terminal (5) connected to an electric wire (3), and a front holder (11) attached to the housing (7), and configured to allow a connecting portion (9) of the terminal (5) to be exposed outside of the housing (7) and hold the terminal (5) in a regular position to prevent the terminal (5) from coming off the housing (7). The housing (7) includes a housing locking projection (15) provided in the housing (7) with an insertion space (13) to allow the terminal (5) to be inserted in the housing (7) and configured to lock the terminal (5) with the front holder (11) attached to the housing (7) to prevent the terminal (5) from coming off the housing (7) toward the electric wire (3).
Abstract:
A locking lance (20) on the inner surface of a cavity (19) of a housing (11) includes a lance main body (21) and an inclined portion (22). The lance main body (21) is cantilevered forward toward the center of the cavity (19) from the inner surface of the cavity (19). The inclined portion (22) is connected to a front part of the lance main body (21) and is narrower than a rear part of the lance main body (21). A first inclined surface (31) of the inclined portion (22) faces the interior of the cavity (19) and inclines away from the center of the cavity (19) to the front. A second inclined surface (32) is opposite the first inclined surface (31), inclines toward the center of the cavity (19) to the front, and is tapered so that the first inclined surface (31) becomes gradually narrower toward the front.
Abstract:
A front portion of a terminal is provided with a flattened-rectangular tube-shaped box part for receiving a male tab terminal so as to establish contact and conduction thereto. Then, lock holes are provided at three parts of the center in the width direction of the box part and vicinities of both ends in the width direction. A lance for locking the terminal is formed in the shape of one plate. Three beaks protrude therefrom for engaging with the lock holes of the terminal. Further, the lance is provided with slits for improving elasticity and a linkage part for linking the three beaks together.
Abstract:
A connector includes a contact and a housing holding the contact. The contact includes a first engaged portion and a second engaged portion which are distinguished from each other. The housing has a front end and a rear end in a front-to-rear direction. The housing is formed with an accommodating portion. The accommodating portion is configured to accommodate the contact when the contact is inserted from the rear end toward the front end to be located at an accommodating position. The housing has a lance formed within the accommodating portion. The lance is provided with a first engaging portion and a second engaging portion. The first engaging portion and the second engaging portion are configured to be engaged with the first engaged portion and the second engaged portion of the contact located at the accommodating position, respectively.
Abstract:
A connector terminal comprised of a single bent metal sheet, including a contact portion including a first sheet portion and a second sheet portion, the first and second sheet portions being folded to overlap one on another, a terminal body, and a connector portion connecting the terminal body and the contact portion to each other, the connector portion including a reinforcement portion covering therewith an end surface of the first sheet portion, an end surface of the second sheet portion, and at least a part of a surface of the second sheet portion in a part of the contact portion.
Abstract:
A connector includes a housing (10) made of synthetic resin and formed with a terminal accommodating chamber (11). A resiliently deformable locking lance (12) is cantilevered forward along an inner wall surface of the terminal accommodating chamber (11) and a locking projection (15) is formed on the locking lance (12). A terminal fitting (30) is inserted into the terminal accommodating chamber (11) from behind and has a locking hole (33) configured to engage the locking projection (15) when the terminal fitting (30) is inserted in the terminal accommodating chamber (11). Reinforcing ribs (20) are formed integrally on the locking lance (12) and project in a direction opposite to the terminal accommodating chamber (11) in a resilient deforming direction of the locking lance (12).
Abstract:
A terminal fitting is inserted into a terminal holding chamber of a front member. A guide recess is in an opposing wall face opposing a lance, of inner faces of a terminal accommodation chamber, an escape recess continuous with the guide recess is in a receiving face of the terminal holding chamber, a guide projection protruding from a position rearward of the front end of an angular tube portion and making sliding contact with a bottom face of the guide recess is in an opposing outer face of the angular tube portion. The length from the guide projection to the front end of the angular tube portion is larger than the distance between the front end of the guide recess and the rear end of the receiving face, and the height of the receiving face relative to the bottom face is smaller than the height of the opposing outer face.
