    摘要: Aspects of the present invention provide electronics for controlling and synchronizing operation of electro-active lenses regardless of frame type, size or style. The controlling electronics can be contained within one or more electronic modules positioned within the frame temples and can be removable and reprogrammable and can include inductive charge regions. Conductive links between electronic modules and/or between left and right Sides of the electro-active spectacles can include left and right upper and lower rim portions of the frame, the bridge, conductive layers of the electro-active lenses, the upper and lower grooves of the electro-active lenses, and/or wires embedded within any portion of the frame. Aspects of the present invention also provide chargers for recharging electro-active spectacles of any size, shape or style using adjustable inductive charging cradles to inductively charge electro-active spectacles of the present invention.

    摘要: The present invention discloses an Ophthalmic Lens device with a programmable Media Insert. In some embodiments, a Media Insert may be programmable to allow for further customization of the energized Ophthalmic Lens. The programming may occur after the electrical components have been encapsulated in the programmable Media Insert. In some embodiments, the Media Insert may be programmed prior to or during the manufacturing process. Alternatively, the Media Insert may be programmable after manufacturing process, such as, for example, through use of a wireless programming apparatus or device. In some such embodiments, the programming device may comprise an overlay, wherein the overlay may program the Media Insert when placed in proximity to the Media Insert.

    摘要: Active vision system comprising: first and second customizable ophthalmic lenses (22) having an electrically variable occultation between substantially transparent and substantially obscured states; identification device (32) adapted for identifying whether the wearer's viewing state is in a near vision viewing state when wearing the customizable ophthalmic lenses; and processor (40) configured to: switch the electrically variable occultation of one of the customizable ophthalmic lenses (22) from the first to the second light occultation states when a near vision viewing state (NVVS) is identified by the identification device while at the same time the other lens is or return in the transparent state; and control the electrically variable occultation of the customizable ophthalmic lenses (22) such that they are in the first light occultation state when the wearer's viewing state is identified as being different from a near vision viewing state (NVVS) by identification device (32).
