摘要: The conformance of an aqueous flooding oil recovery process, including steam, hot water or surfactant or other chemicalized water flood process, in a formation containing at least two zones of different permeability, the permeability of one zone being at least 50 percent greater than the permeability of the other zone, is improved by flooding until the higher permeability zone has been depleted, after which a fluid is injected into the depleted, high permeability zone, said fluid having relatively low viscosity at the time of injection and containing a mixture of at least two surface active agents which promotes the formation of a coarse emulsion in the flow channels of the formation which reduces the permeability of the high permeability zone. Since the viscosity of the fluid injected into the previously water flooded, high permeability zone is no greater than water, it is injected easily into the zone and moves through substantially the same flow channels as water would move in the formation. After the permeability of the first zone has been reduced substantially, flooding may then be accomplished in the second zone which was originally not invaded by the injected oil displacing fluid since its permeability was substantially less than the permeability of the first zone. The surface active agents are tailored to exhibit optimum emulsion formation properties with the particular aqueous fluid present in the flow channels of the formation to be treated.

摘要: Viscous oil recovery methods employing well-to-well throughput steam injection are frequently less successful than anticipated because the process experiences poor vertical conformance, meaning that only a portion of the full vertical thickness of the oil saturated reservoir is contacted by the injected steam. Because the specific gravity of the vapor phase portion of saturated steam is substantially less than the specific gravity of formation petroleum fluids, the vapor phase steam channels across the upper portion of the formation and only contacts and displaces petroleum present in said upper portion of the formation, bypassing substantial amounts of petroleum in the lower portion of the formation. By separating saturated steam into two components, one predominantly liquid phase and one predominantly gaseous phase, and injecting the hot liquid into the upper portion of the formation and the vapor into the lower portion of the formation, substantially greater amounts of formation petroleum are contacted and recovered by steam. Steam may be separated into liquid and vapor phase components on the surface and injected by a separate flow path into separately completed intervals, or the separation may be accomplished in a downhole separator. The process may be applied using steam alone, or other gaseous and/or liquid phase additives to steam may be injected in the same manner.

摘要: In displacement processes for recovery of liquid hydrocarbons from a hydrocarbon bearing formation having zones of different permeability wherein such displacement processes comprise injecting a drive fluid through an injection well vertically traversing the formation and recovering by means of a production well the liquid hydrocarbons which are displaced by the injection of the drive fluid; this invention involves an improvement comprising injecting a water insoluble liquid into the permeable zone to increase drive efficiency in the less permeable zone.

摘要: A method for the miscible displacement of petroleum from a subterranean reservoir is provided. The method involves injecting two miscible fluids into an injection well and producing petroleum from a production well. A first solvent, more dense than water, is injected into the reservoir near the top of the reservoir, and a second solvent, less dense than water, is injected into the reservoir near or at the bottom of the reservoir. Both solvents are followed by water. The first solvent will tend to flow downward and the second solvent will tend to rise. The solvents will blend and provide piston-like displacement through the reservoir.

摘要: An actuation dart for deployment down a tubing string installed within a wellbore and provided with one or more valve assemblies is provided. The actuation dart includes a dart body adapted to be carried down the tubing string to the valve assembly via fluid flow. The dart body has a shifting head provided at a first end of the dart body, the shifting head being configured to engage and shift the valve assembly in the open configuration to enable fluid injection in a reservoir surrounding the wellbore. A method for hydrocarbon recovery from a wellbore using the actuation dart is also provided, along with a wellbore system adapted to receive the actuation dart.

摘要: The present disclosure relates to a method and system for predicting a time-varying principle of waterflooding oil reservoir formation parameters. Firstly, a T2 spectrum-pore size relation model is built according to a measured pore size distribution curve and a measured T2 spectrum. A T2 spectrum of a rock sample at different water injection amounts during a waterflooding physical simulation experiment is acquired. The acquired T2 spectrum at different water injection amounts is then converted into a pore size distribution at different water injection amounts, and a pore network model at different water injection amounts is built with the pore size distribution. Oil-water two-phase flow simulation is performed, and a corresponding oil-water two-phase relative permeability curve of the rock sample at different pore volume (PV) multiples is obtained eventually. The oil-water two-phase relative permeability curve is the formation parameters in the waterflooding oil reservoir.

摘要: Some methods of production hydrocarbons from a formation comprise drilling two or more horizontal wellbores in the formation, at least a portion of each extending in a direction that is within 20 degrees of parallel to a direction of maximum horizontal stress of the formation. The horizontal wellbores can include one or more producer wellbores and one or more injector wellbores, each of the producer wellbore(s) separated from at least one of the injector wellbore(s) by a formation-permeability-dependent well spacing. Some comprise comprising creating one or more longitudinal fractures that are in communication with the formation in each of the horizontal wellbores, injecting a recovery fluid comprising gas into at least one of the injector wellbore(s) such that the recovery fluid flows into the formation, and receiving hydrocarbons from the formation into at least one of the producer wellbore(s).

摘要: A system and method for a fully-integrated flow control module (FI-FCM) in a hydrocarbon reservoir is disclosed. The FI-FCM is a unibody structure or a single-piece machined body having a flow meter integrated to the unibody structure. A choke is to be associated within a provision of the FI-FCM that also has an entry flow path for reservoir fluid and an exit flow path for the reservoir fluid. The entry flow path and the exit flow path inside the unibody structure or the single-piece machined body. Fluid communication is enabled between the flow meter, which is upstream relative to the choke, and an entry flow path. The choke is to control flow between the entry flow path and the exit flow path.
