    Abstract: Aspects are provided for HARQ feedback and retransmission procedures for cooperative relaying in sidelink networks. A relay attempts to decode sidelink data received from a source for relay to a destination. The relay may combine LLRs for the sidelink data and for a retransmission of the sidelink data. The relay determines a resource of a wireless channel for transmitting feedback to the source in response to the decoding attempt. If decoding is successful, the relay transmits the data to the destination. The destination then attempts to decode the data received from the relay. The destination may combine LLRs for the data and for a retransmission of the data. The destination determines a resource of a wireless channel for transmitting feedback to the relay in response to the decoding attempt. The resources are based on a relay identifier associated with the relay.

    Abstract: An apparatus is disclosed. The apparatus may determine whether one or more PUCCH resources, one or more second PUCCH resources, or one or more third PUCCH resources of a plurality of PUCCH resources are suitable for at least one uplink transmission. Each of the one or more first PUCCH resources may include a payload capacity equal to a payload threshold. Each of the one or more second PUCCH resources may include a payload capacity greater than the payload threshold. Each of the one or more third PUCCH resources may include a payload capacity less than the payload threshold. The apparatus may transmit, based on the selection of PUCCH resources, the at least one uplink transmission via the selected at least one of the one or more first PUCCH resources, the one or more second PUCCH resources, or the one or more third PUCCH resources.

    Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for replacing and/or fixing broken uplink repetitions due to segmentation of nominal repetitions into actual repetitions. A method that may be performed by a user equipment (UE) includes detecting that a configured repetition pattern for uplink transmission to a network entity results in segmentation of at least one nominal repetition into multiple actual repetitions, modifying the configured repetition pattern, based at least in part on the detection, to avoid segmentation of nominal repetitions into multiple actual repetitions, and sending the uplink transmission to the network entity in accordance with the modified repetition pattern.

    Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, devices, apparatus, and methods, including computer programs encoded on storage media, for channel coding techniques based on unequal error protection for multiplexed LP UCI and HP UCI. In aspects, a UE may multiplex a set of LP UCI bits with a set of HP UCI bits. The set of HP UCI bits may be encoded through both a first encoder and a second encoder, and the set of LP UCI bits may be encoded through the second encoder to generate a set of coded UCI bits. The UE may transmit, to a base station, the set of coded UCI bits through one of a PUCCH or a PUSCH.

    Abstract: A method of non-coherent wireless communication performed by a wireless communication device includes generating information bits for transmission to another wireless communication device. The method also includes identifying a configuration for a polar code encoder for encoding the information bits. The method further includes encoding a set of the information bits with a polar code encoding operation based on the configuration to generate a codeword, the configuration rendering the polar code encoding operation incapable of generating a codeword that is a bit-flipped counterpart of another codeword that the polar code encoding operation is capable of generating based on the configuration. The method still further includes transmitting the codeword via a wireless channel without a reference signal.
