In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a network entity, a sidelink resource sub-pool configuration that indicates a partition of a sidelink resource pool into a first sidelink resource sub-pool associated with radar transmissions and a second sidelink resource sub-pool associated with sidelink transmissions. The UE may transmit a radar transmission using resources of the first sidelink resource sub-pool based at least in part on the sidelink resource sub-pool configuration. Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may include a radar which is used for object detection, such as a vehicle UE detecting other vehicle UEs in a vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communications system. The UE may be configured for coordinated interference, where radars transmit a common waveform while applying different delays to prevent negative co-channel interference effects, such as false or ghost targets. The techniques described herein support configuring a common configuration for network-assisted coordinated interference by considering capabilities of UEs and radars within a geographic area controlled by a network entity. The network entity may identify and indicate a waveform configuration which is used by radars within the geographic control area of the network entity.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for coordinating waveform parameters and frame delays for multi-radar coexistence. An example method performed by an apparatus comprising a radar device includes transmitting, based on a transmission configuration, one or more first signals of a plurality of signals in an environment via the radar device in a first frame of a plurality of frames according to a first delay value occurring after a frame prior to the first frame and transmitting one or more second signals via the radar device in at least a second frame of the plurality of frames according to a second delay value occurring after the first frame based on the transmission configuration. In some cases, the transmission configuration comprises a common transmission configuration for use in the environment. Additionally, in some cases, the second delay value is different from the first delay value.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, devices, apparatus, and methods, including computer programs encoded on storage media, for radar target tracking based on return signal strength. A wireless device, such as a radar device, may measure a received signal strength of a detected signal. The received signal strength may be associated with at least one bin of a radar image. The wireless device may compare the received signal strength to a filtered signal strength. The filtered signal strength may be associated with a threshold difference in signal strength from the filtered signal strength. The wireless device may track the at least one bin of the radar image in response to the received signal strength being less than or equal to the threshold difference in signal strength from the filtered signal strength.

Abstract: Aspects presented herein may improve joint communication-radar system by providing a radar reference signal with GI-FMCW waveform. Aspects presented herein may be compatible with communication-centric waveforms and thereby may apply to UEs or network entities with minimal changes if specified. In one aspect, a wireless device transmits a set of communication signals. The wireless device configure one or more parameters associated with a set of radar reference signals for radar sensing based on the set of communication signals, each radar reference signal in the set of radar reference signals including a guard interval. The wireless device transmits the set of radar reference signals associated with the one or more parameters.
