Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure provide various procedures and methods for accelerated secondary cell (SCell) activation when carrier aggregation (CA) is configured. A scheduling entity receives, from a network entity, an indication of anticipated data for a user equipment (UE) in an idle mode. The scheduling entity determines supplemental wake-up information based on the carrier aggregation capability of the PCell. The scheduling entity transmits a wake-up message to the UE. The wake up message is configured to cause the UE to wake up in a CA configuration using the PCell and one or more SCells, based on the supplemental wakeup information.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A first device may receive a channel reservation request from a second device, over a shared or unlicensed radio frequency spectrum band, the channel reservation request including a first expected response time duration to receive a channel reservation response in response to the channel reservation request. The first wireless device may transmit a channel reservation response in response, and receive a directional transmission according to the channel reservation request. The second device may transmit a directional channel reservation request on a transmit beam, the directional channel reservation request including a first expected response time duration to receive a channel reservation response the first device in response to the directional channel reservation request. The second device may receive the channel reservation response during the first expected response time duration and transmit a directional transmission according to the directional channel reservation request.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A base station may perform an access procedure to obtain access to a shared radio frequency spectrum band during a measurement window and generate a synchronization signal (SS) burst comprising a plurality of SS blocks. The base station may perform a beam sweeping first transmission of the SS burst over the shared radio frequency spectrum based at least in part on the access procedure. In the first transmission or a second transmission, the base station may transmit at least one of a first indication of a time of access to the shared radio frequency spectrum band with respect to the measurement window, a second indication of a transmission beam associated with the SS block, and a third indication of a quantity of remaining SS blocks from the plurality of SS blocks to follow the SS block in the measurement window.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive network search information related to the accessible bands. In some examples, the UE may receive network search information from a server that has access to the network search information. The UE may receive the network search information directly from the server or through another wireless device. In other examples, a base station may broadcast network search information on an anchor carrier. The UE may tune to a carrier of a first radio access network to receive the network search information and use the network search information to assist connecting to a second radio access network. The network search information may include, for example, a network name or network ID, a technology type, band or channel information, security information or credentials.

An expected air time parameter may be used as a parameter for estimating throughput. The expected air time parameter may be indicative of an estimated air time fraction obtainable for communications using an access point (AP), for example, between a wireless station (STA) and the AP. Either the expected air time parameter or an estimated air time fraction determined (e.g., calculated) from the expected air time parameter may be transmitted from the AP to the STA (or other communication device) to allow the STA (or other communication device) to determine an estimated throughput for communications using the AP.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Some wireless communications systems may support communications between a base station and a user equipment (UE) on multiple carriers. A UE may maintain a connection with a base station on a first carrier (e.g., an anchor carrier), and the UE may use a discontinuous reception (DRX) cycle on a second carrier. The DRX cycle may include scheduled on-durations during which the UE may monitor the second carrier for signaling from the base station. To reduce the power consumption at the UE associated with repeatedly monitoring scheduled on-durations, the base station may transmit wake-up signaling to the UE on the first carrier to identify the on-durations that include data from the base station. Accordingly, the UE may monitor these on-durations for the data and avoid monitoring other on-durations to limit power consumption.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatuses for estimating angular information of a received wireless signal. In some implementations, a receiving device may receive a wireless signal from a transmitting device, and estimate channel conditions, based on a number of sounding sequences, to determine a channel frequency response of the received wireless signal. The receiving device may determine a channel impulse response based an inverse discrete Fourier transfer (DFT) function or a partial inverse DFT function of the channel frequency response, and then select a portion of the channel impulse response. The receiving device may estimate an angle of arrival of the received wireless signal based on the selected portion of the channel impulse response.
