Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A scheduled node may transmit, by a first node in the network and to a second node in the network, an indication of a first temporal pattern of communication states for communication by the first node on a first set of resources, the first node being configured for half-duplex communications. The scheduled node may receive, from the second node, a grant of resources for performing communications on a second set of resources that are multiplexed with the first set of resources in a frequency domain, a spatial domain, or a combination thereof.

Abstract: In a first configuration, the apparatus may be a base station. The base station adjusts a periodicity for performing a beam sweep, sends information indicating the adjusted periodicity for performing a beam sweep, and performs the beam sweep at the adjusted periodicity. In a second configuration, the apparatus may be a UE. The UE receives information indicating a periodicity for performing a beam sweep from a base station, adjusts the periodicity for performing the beam sweep, and performs the beam sweep at the adjusted periodicity. For both configurations, the beam sweep is a plurality of transmissions of a beam in a plurality of different transmit spatial directions by one of the base station or the UE and a plurality of scans of the beam transmissions in a plurality of different scan spatial directions by an other of the one of the base station or the UE.

Abstract: Various aspects of the disclosure relate to wireless communication that is synchronized across different wireless communication spectrum. For example, communication on an unlicensed spectrum may, in response to a particular trigger, switch to a licensed spectrum. Here, the switch may occur in a time synchronized manner (e.g., according to a frame structure). In addition, communication across such spectrum may be synchronized among multiple systems. For example, a controller may specify a reuse pattern to be used by the different systems for communication across unlicensed spectrum and licensed spectrum.

Abstract: Techniques are described for wireless communication. Abstract: A method for wireless communication at a user equipment (UE) includes receiving, from a base station, an indication of uplink transmission resources allocated for a paging response to a paging indication, receiving the paging indication from the base station, and transmitting, to the base station, the paging response to the received paging indication. The paging response is transmitted on at least one of the uplink transmission resources allocated for the paging response. A method for wireless communication at a base station includes identifying uplink transmission resources for paging responses, transmitting an indication of the uplink transmission resources allocated for paging responses, transmitting a paging indication to at least one UE, and receiving a paging response from one or more UEs using a receive beam sweep. The paging response is received on an associated beam on at least one of the uplink transmission resources allocated for paging responses.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that provide for resource allocation in an integrated access and backhaul (IAB) network. A relay node in an IAB network may be assigned a first resource partition that is different from a second resource partition for the child and parent nodes. Based on a resource configuration (e.g., for a slot) of the second resource partition, the relay node may opportunistically utilize the second resource partition for communications. For instance, the relay node may determine a direction table based on the resource configurations of the child and parent nodes, which may be used to perform uplink or downlink communications in one or more symbols of the second resource partition. The relay node may also identify flexible symbols as free or non-free when determining the direction table.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A wireless device may identify a set of power configurations for a plurality of communications with at least one target device. The set of power configurations may be based at least in part on a type of signal, a type of channel, a parameter of the wireless device, a parameter of the target device, or a combination thereof. The wireless device may then determine a duplexing mode for the plurality of communications based at least in part on the set of power configurations. The duplexing mode may be, for example, a full duplex mode or a half-duplex mode. The wireless device may then transmit the plurality of communications to and/or receive the plurality of communications from the at least one target device according to the set of power configurations and the selected duplexing mode.
