Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some systems, a user equipment (UE) may receive a periodic reference signal from a base station and may measure the periodic reference signal as part of a beam failure detection (BFD) procedure. To detect a beam failure, the UE may autonomously select a beam failure indicator (BFI) counting scheme from a set of BFI counting schemes and may increment a BFI count in accordance with the selected BFI counting scheme and based on measuring the reference signal. The different BFI counting schemes of the set of BFI counting schemes may feature different techniques or methods for incrementing the BFI count per one or more BFI reports. As such, the UE may selectively choose how to weight different sets of one or more BFI reports in terms of contribution to the BFI count, which may improve BFD detection at the UE.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for using layer one (L1) or layer two (L2) signaling to indicate a primary cell (PCell) or primary secondary cell (PSCell) to a user equipment (UE). The use of L1 or L2 signaling to indicate a PCell or PSCell may be referred to as L1 or L2 mobility and may lower the latency at the UE associated with transitioning to communicating with the PCell or PSCell. A UE may receive radio resource control (RRC) signaling from a base station indicating a set of cells configured for L1 or L2 mobility and indicating a list of candidate cells for a PCell or PSCell. The UE may then receive L1/L2 signaling from the base station identifying the PCell or indicating activation of the PSCell.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for sidelink discovery message forwarding. In some implementations, a first user equipment (UE) may receive a discovery message from a second UE. The discovery message may be part of a beam training procedure between the first UE and the second UE. The first UE may forward the discovery message to one or more other UEs based on a condition associated with one or more forwarding termination parameters being satisfied. The first UE may, in some implementations, select one of a broadcast transmission or a unicast transmission for forwarding the discovery message based on one or more parameters associated with the UE. The first UE may transmit the discovery message from the second UE to the one or more other UEs using the selected broadcast or unicast transmission when the condition is satisfied.

A base station may transmit, to a user equipment (UE), a control message in a first control channel occasion associated with a first quasi-colocation (QCL) property, the control message indicating a transmission of a data message within a threshold time period. The UE may receive, from the base station, an indication to skip monitoring of a second control channel occasion within the threshold time period and may receive the data message in accordance with a second QCL property, or drop reception of the data message, based on the indication. Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and devices for wireless communication that support mechanisms for semi-persistent scheduling (SPS) and hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) feedback skipping for user equipment (UE)-initiated transmissions. A UE configured for extended reality (XR) operations and an SPS configuration including a plurality of SPS occasions, each SPS occasion configured with at least one downlink resource and at least one uplink resource, collects pose information related to at least one SPS occasion. The UE determines, based on the pose information, to skip at least one SPS occasion. The UE sends an indication of the determination to skip the at least one SPS occasion to a base station. The indication is transmitted in a preconfigured uplink resource or may be piggyback an uplink transmission. The base station may reallocate the resources configured for the at least one SPS occasion based on receiving the indication.

The first UE may select to communicate using the communication link of the message associated with the higher priority.

Abstract: A user equipment (UE) may receive a first group downlink control information transmission associated with a UE group, where the first group downlink control information transmission may reference a second group downlink control information transmission (e.g., according to a pre-notification indication). The UE may determine a feedback condition for the second group downlink control information transmission and monitor for the second group downlink control information transmission. Alternatively, the UE may receive a second group downlink control information transmission referencing the first group downlink control information transmission (e.g., according to a post-confirmation indication), and the UE may determine a feedback condition for the first group downlink control information transmission. Based on the feedback condition, the UE may transmit feedback information, for example, indicating that the UE did not correctly receive the indicated group downlink control information transmission.

Abstract: The aspects described herein may enable a base station to repeat a downlink control channel based on one or more indications received from a user equipment (UE). This may allow the base station to efficiently use network resources to enhance coverage of downlink control channels for different steps of a network access procedure as needed by a UE. For example, a UE may determine to activate or deactivate repetition of a downlink control channel associated with a network access procedure. The UE may transmit an indication configured to activate or deactivate repetition of the downlink control channel.
