Abstract: Disclosed is a method comprising detecting a beam failure on at least one transmission reception point of a plurality of transmission reception points. One or more beam failure indication data is included into a first medium access control (MAC) control element (CE), wherein the one or more beam failure indication data indicates the beam failure detected on the at least one transmission reception point. The one or more beam failure indication data comprises at least a first bit that comprises a first value and a second value, wherein the first value of the first bit indicates a first transmission reception point at least on which the beam failure is detected. The first MAC CE comprising the one or more beam failure indication data is transmitted to an access point.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates generally to the field of wireless communications, and particularly to a technique for performing the beam failure recovery (BFR) of transmission reception points (TRPs) in a multiple-TRP (mTRP) scenario. More specifically, the technique involves defining rules according to which a UE may determine that the TRPs have failed concurrently or the TRPs are considered to fail individually in the mTRP scenario. Such rules are defined based on current counter values of beam failure instance (BFI) counters used by the UE for each of the TRPs. In some embodiments, the rules may be additionally defined based on current timer statuses of timers supervising the BFI counters. By using the rules thus defined, it is possible for the UE to clearly determine when it is required to use the BFR mechanism individually for at least one of the TRPs or concurrently for all the TRPs in one or more cells.

Abstract: Various example embodiments relate to methods, devices and systems that support flexible uplink resource request. A terminal device may comprise at least one processor and at least one memory including computer program code. The at least one memory and the computer program code may be configured to, with the at least one processor, cause the terminal device to perform actions including triggering a buffer status report (BSR) by uplink data arrival on a logical channel, and selectively triggering one or both of a scheduling request (SR) procedure and a random access (RA) procedure based on a predetermined condition for transmission of the triggered buffer status report.

Abstract: Example embodiments of the present disclosure relate to transmit power control for beam management. The first device transmits a first configuration to a second device. The first configuration indicates information about at least one candidate beam assigned to the second device. Alternatively, or in addition, the first configuration further indicates a correspondence between the at least one candidate beam and a plurality of transmission occasions, where the plurality of transmission occasions are allocated by the first device for transmission from the second device to the first device while the second device is in an inactive mode. The first device detects transmissions from the second device according to the first configuration at the plurality of transmission occasions. Through this solution, a beam management solution and efficient resource configuration for a device in an inactive mode is proposed.

Abstract: A UE receives, in a paging message, information corresponding to random-access priority. The UE applies, in response to a random access being triggered, the random-access priority according to the information received in the paging message. A network node in a wireless system generates information corresponding to random-access priority for a UE to use for a random-access procedure. The network node sends, in a paging message, information corresponding to the random-access priority toward the user equipment.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to determination of terminal device's identify. A terminal device determines an identity (ID) of the terminal device based on configuration status of extended Discontinuous Reception (eDRX) and current Radio Resource Control (RRC) state of the terminal device; and determines one or both of paging frame (PF) and paging occasion (PO) based on the determined ID of the terminal device. In this way, paging in the eDRX can work well in RRC idle state or RRC inactive state, and the network and the UE may be synchronized with UE's PF and PO for paging in the eDRX.

Abstract: According to an example aspect of the present invention, there is provided a method which includes detecting a failure. After detecting the failure, determining an association in response to identifying a new candidate beam for beam failure recovery, wherein the association is between a control resource set and at least one of a particular index and a beam failure recovery request. The method may also include transmitting a failure recovery request based on the association.
