摘要: Embodiments of the invention decrease bending vibrations and torsional vibrations of a voice coil generated by off-plane vibrational forces on the voice coil to reduce noise and to enable a large capacity. In one embodiment, a rotating disk type storage unit comprises a rotating disk recording medium, a head that moves radially relative to the rotating disk recording medium to perform recording or reproduction, a turnable actuator having mounted on one side thereof the head, and a voice coil motor to drive the actuator. The voice coil motor comprises a voice coil mounted on the other side end of the actuator, and a magnet arranged in opposition to the voice coil. A magnet outer periphery of the magnet disposed distant from an actuator turning center is formed to be arcuately concave in shape, and the concave-shaped outer periphery intersects the voice coil.

摘要: Embodiments of the present invention help provide a simple and inexpensive actuator mechanism for a magnetic disk drive. The actuator mechanism includes an approximately circular coil and a simple shaped magnet, and is capable of displaying adequate performance required for the magnetic disk drive. According to one embodiment, the magnetic disk drive includes an actuator mechanism which has an approximately circular coil and an approximately rectangular magnet. The long axis direction of the rectangular magnet is oriented in parallel to a straight line connecting the center of the inner circle of the circular coil in a state in which the actuator is positioned at the outermost circumference of a data area and the center of the inner circle of the circular coil in a state in which the actuator is positioned at the innermost circumference of the data area.

摘要: A magnetic disk apparatus capable of reducing deformation of a magnetic disk is disclosed. The magnetic disk apparatus comprises a magnetic disk on which data is recorded while the disk is driven, a hub around which the magnetic disk is supported from an under side of the magnetic disk, and a clamp in contact with the other side of the magnetic disk and fixing the magnetic disk. An O-ring is interposed between a flange formed at an outer circumference of the hub and the magnetic disk, and a spacer is interposed between the magnetic disk and the O-ring. Thus an upper surface of the hub is in contact with an under surface of the clamp and defines a vertical position of the magnetic disk.

摘要: Toner remaining on a photosensitive drum may be prevented from being given out after a toner image is transferred, by causing a seal member to abut on both a photosensitive portion of the photosensitive drum and a flange disposed on each of ends of the photosensitive portion and having less hardness than the photosensitive portion, further a flange being configured to be smaller in outer diameter than the photosensitive portion so that a contact pressure of the seal member on the flange may be reduced, and accordingly, in an image formation apparatus, this may allow flange galling to reduce without seal characteristic degradation.

摘要: A method for forming a Ru layer for an integrated circuit by providing a patterned substrate in a process chamber, and exposing the substrate to a process gas comprising a ruthenium carbonyl precursor and a CO gas to form a Ru layer over a feature of the patterned substrate. In one embodiment, the CO partial pressure in the process chamber is varied during the exposing to control the step coverage of the Ru layer over the feature. In an alternative or further embodiment, the step coverage can be controlled by varying the substrate temperature during the exposure.
