Imaging a package to identify contents associated with the package includes with a camera of a point of sale (POS) system, imaging the package, where an identical identification mark is located on all sides of the package such that when an image of the package is captured, an image of the identification mark appears in the image irrespective of an orientation of the package to the camera and with a database, identifying the contents associated with the package based on the identification mark from the image.
Abstract:
A method is disclosed. The method comprises defining a region of interest on a three-dimensional model of an object. The method may comprise capturing an image of an object manufactured according to the three-dimensional model. The method may comprise determining, using a processor, a position and orientation of the three-dimensional model with respect to the object in the captured image. The method may comprise locating the region of interest on the manufactured object. A portion of the manufactured object within the region of interest may comprise an identifiable feature. An apparatus and a machine-readable medium are also disclosed.

A method comprises moving a robotic structure to a first pose such that an end-effector of the robotic structure has an absolute position comprising an absolute location and absolute orientation. The method comprises providing a calibration artefact on the end-effector. The method comprises determining at least three planes coinciding with at least three respective surface planes of the calibration artefact, by measuring absolute locations of a plurality of points on the calibration artefact. The method comprises determining the absolute location and absolute orientation of the end-effector, when the robotic structure is in the position based on the determined at least three planes. The method also comprises calibrating the first pose of the robotic structure using the determined absolute location and absolute orientation of the end-effector.

Systems and methods associated with discussion resource recommendation are disclosed. One example method may be embodied as computer-executable instructions stored on a non-transitory computer-readable medium. The instructions may cause a computer to construct a resource network that links members of asset of online discussion resources. The online discussion resources may be linked based on user participation overlap between members of the set of discussion resources. The instructions may also cause the computer to generate content similarity scores that measure content overlap for pairs of discussion resources. The instructions may also cause the computer to generate network relevancy scores for the pairs of discussion resources based on the resource network. The instructions may also cause the computer to recommend, based on the content similarity scores and the network relevancy scores, a related discussion resource to a user when the user accesses a primary discussion resource.

One example is a system including a plurality of summarization engines, a plurality of meta-algorithmic patterns, an extractor, and an evaluator. Each of the plurality of summarization engines receives a text document to provide a meta-summary of the text document. The extractor extracts at least one summarization term from the meta-summary. The extractor generates at least one class term for each given class of a plurality of classes of documents, the at least one class term extracted from documents in the given class. The evaluator determines similarity measures of the text document over each given class of documents of the plurality of classes, each similarity measure indicative of a similarity between the at least one summarization term and the at least one class term for each given class. The selector selects a class of the plurality of classes, the selecting based on he determined similarity measures.
