摘要: A controller is configured to receive one or more streams of data, each stream of data representing a sensed phenomenon in the environment of a bed on which a first user is sleeping and a second user is sleeping. The controller is further configured to determine that the first user is experiencing restless sleep. The controller is further configured to determine that the second user is snoring. The controller is further configured to issue a snore-control command to a controllable home automation device such that the controllable home automation device alters a feature of the second user's sleeping environment in a way that is likely to reduce the second user's snoring. The controller is further configured to determine again that that the second user is still snoring and issue a second snore-control command.

摘要: An air distribution pad comprises an upper layer, a lower layer, and a spacer material located between the upper layer and the lower layer, the spacer material configured to allow air to pass therethrough. An air distributor is configured to distribute air to the spacer material, wherein the air distributor comprises a port configured to receive an air hose, wherein the port is directed laterally sideways from the air distributor. At least one joining structure is coupled to the upper layer and the lower layer, the at least one joining structure providing one or more channels formed through the spacer material in fluid communication with the air distributor. The one or more channels are configured to direct generally laterally flowing air from the port of the air distributor to a generally longitudinal direction along the at least one channel.

摘要: Systems and methods for speech-controlled or speech-enabled health monitoring of a subject are described. A device includes a substrate configured to support a subject, a plurality of non-contact sensors configured to capture acoustic signals and force signals with respect to the subject, an audio interface configured to communicate with the subject, and a processor in connection with the plurality of sensors and the audio interface. The processor configured to determine biosignals from one or more of the acoustic signals and the force signals to monitor a subject's health status, and detect presence of speech in the acoustic signals. The audio interface configured to interactively communicate with at least one of the subject or an entity associated with the subject based on at least one of an action needed due to the subject's health status and a verbal command in detected speech.

摘要: Described are bed systems having a headboard, backward facing lights positioned at a back side of the headboard, and a controller operably connected to the backward facing lights that can drive the backward facing lights to provide circadian lighting. The backward facing lights can be recessed into the back side of the headboard. The backward facing lights can provide ambient lighting when controlled by the controller. The controller can determine when a user of the bed system is waking up and control the backward facing lights to provide circadian lighting that corresponds to a wakeup routine for the user. The controller can also determine when the user is going to sleep and control the backward facing lights to provide circadian lighting that corresponds to a sleep routine for the user. The backward facing lights can be LED strips positioned inside an extruded channel in the back side of the headboard.
