摘要: A method providing discharge monitoring of a firearm includes a signal processing module and a safety selector switch sensor. The event detection module has at least one sensor that senses an acceleration and generates an acceleration signal. The signal processing module receives the acceleration signal and is configured to determine whether the acceleration signal is a discharge event and generate an event detection signal based on the determination, the signal processing module further configured to maintain a shot count of the firearm based on the determination that the event detection signal is a discharge event. The safety selector switch sensor communicates with a safety switch configured on the firearm, and communicates a safety switch signal to the signal processing module corresponding to a position of the safety switch. The event detection signal is further based on the safety switch signal.

摘要: Systems and methods are provided for monitoring a state of ammunition supply among a plurality of firearms within a deployment location, where each firearm includes one or more sensors that record sensor information used to produce a signal. A response infrastructure may be configured for deployment to the deployment location, and a server device running application software that uses the signals received from each of the firearms may detect an ammunition level of a firearm within the deployment location and cause the deployment of the response infrastructure to the deployment location, where the response infrastructure supports a resupply of at least one firearm in the deployment location.

摘要: Systems and methods are provided for firearm usage monitoring, including a battery configured to power components of the firearm, a communication interface and a controller running application software configured to: power, via the battery, the components of the firearm in a first sensing mode; monitor, via the communication interface, density of electromagnetic radiation proximate the firearm; harvest, in response to the electromagnetic radiation density exceeding, power from the electromagnetic radiation via a wireless-energy harvesting mechanism having a receiving antenna configured to receive a local electromagnetic signal, a rectifier configured to convert the received signal to direct current, and a DC-DC converter configured to alter voltage of the direct current to a desired voltage; and operate, via the battery and the harvested power, the components of the firearm in a second sensing mode, the second sensing mode expending more energy than the first sensing mode.
