Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a wireless communication device may generate a Reed Muller generating matrix for an information bit vector that includes a plurality of information bits. The wireless communication device may remove, from the Reed Muller generating matrix, a row vector consisting of all 1-values to form a modified Reed Muller generating matrix. The wireless communication device may encode the information bit vector using the modified Reed Muller generating matrix to form a codeword. The wireless communication device may transmit the codeword without transmitting a pilot signal or demodulation reference signal for the codeword. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may perform communications between the UE and a base station based at least in part on a set of semi-persistent resource occasions. The UE may receive a downlink control information releasing the set of semi-persistent resource occasions. The UE may determine a release time to release the set of semi-persistent resource occasions, wherein the release time for releasing the set of semi-persistent resource occasions is with respect to a receive time of the downlink control information. The UE may release the set of semi-persistent resource occasions at the release time based at least in part on the downlink control information.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may implement a power-efficient discovery procedure to establish a relay. In some cases, the UE may monitor a resource pool for a relay beacon from a relay device and measure a received power of the relay beacon. If the received power satisfies a threshold, the UE may monitor for a relay announcement from the relay device and establish a sidelink connection with the relay device based on the relay announcement. The relay beacon may support a two-stage discovery procedure, where the UE determines a relay device is available before processing a relay announcement to conserve power. Additional techniques for proximity-based discovery are described herein.

Abstract: An acknowledgment (ACK)/negative-ACK (NACK)-based relaying scheme for uplink coverage improvement is provided. A relay station receives, from a destination device, a first feedback transmission associated with the first data transmission. The relay station determines whether the destination device successfully receives the first data transmission based on the first feedback transmission. The relay station communicates, with the destination device, a second feedback transmission associated with the first data transmission when the destination device does not successfully receive the first data transmission. The relay station communicates, with the destination device, a second data transmission associated with the second feedback transmission, in which the second data transmission comprises at least a portion of the first data transmission.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and devices for wireless communication that support feedback for mixed grant types. In a first aspect, a user equipment (UE) is configured to determine a threshold associated with a number of bits for feedback of one or more physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) grant types. The UE is further configured to transmit a feedback message including feedback information for one or more received PDSCHs associated with the one or more PDSCH grant types. A number of bits of the feedback information included in the feedback message for the one or more received PDSCHs associated with the one or more PDSCH grant types is less than or equal to the threshold. Other aspects and features are also claimed and described.
