Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A base station may signal power control parameters per configured grant to enable a user equipment (UE) to adjust a transmit power for an uplink message signaled by the configured grant. For example, the base station may transmit the power control parameters in a group-common downlink message to the UE. Accordingly, based on the power control parameters, the UE may or may not apply the power adjustment to a baseline transmit power initially signaled by the base station. In some cases, the base station may signal two power control parameters for the UE to transmit the uplink message. For example, a first power control parameter may include a transmit power control (TPC) command for transmission of the uplink message, and a second power control parameter may include a power adjustment value for transmission of the uplink message.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may identify a baseline physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) monitoring capability of the UE and an enhanced PDCCH monitoring capability of the UE, where the enhanced PDCCH monitoring capability facilitates monitoring by the UE of more PDCCH monitoring opportunities per slot than the baseline PDCCH monitoring capability. The UE may report, to a base station, the enhanced PDCCH monitoring capability and also the baseline PDCCH monitoring capability. The UE may receive, based on the UE reporting the enhanced PDCCH monitoring capability, at least one control resource set configuration that includes an indication that a corresponding control resource set is configured for enhanced PDCCH monitoring. The UE may monitor the corresponding control resource set in accordance with the enhanced PDCCH monitoring capability of the UE.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices are described for handling transmissions or channels in wireless communications that collide with one another. The described techniques relate to handling the collision between multiple overlapping channels (e.g., two or more channels of the same priority). For example, a collision resolution configuration may include resolving the collisions among the channels of the same priority first (e.g., feedback information transmissions first, and then control information), among the channels of the same service type first (e.g., normal channels first, and then low latency channel(s)), or across all of the channels of all priorities at once. Collisions may be resolved by dropping or rescheduling overlapping information from the lower priority transmission(s) or channel(s) in consideration of the higher priority transmission(s) or channel(s), or by multiplexing or piggybacking overlapping information from a first priority transmission(s) or channel(s) with a second priority transmission(s) or channel(s).

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive a grant scheduling a first higher priority channel that has a higher priority than each channel of multiple lower priority channels scheduled for the UE. The UE may drop a first lower priority channel of the multiple lower priority channels that at least partially overlaps in time with the first higher priority channel based on determining that the grant is received prior to a multiplexing deadline for the multiple lower priority channels. The UE may then transmit or receive a first transmission using the first higher priority channel and a second transmission using a second lower priority channel of the multiple lower priority channels based on the dropping.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that provide for unambiguous mapping between downlink control channel transmissions, downlink shared channel transmissions, and uplink acknowledgment feedback resources. The uplink acknowledgment feedback resource may be located within a same transmission time interval (TTI). A base station may configure codebook-based acknowledgment resources from a user equipment (UE), and feedback delay values may be associated with time domain resources of the downlink shared channel transmissions. In some examples, feedback delay values may be associated with particular search spaces or monitoring occasions of the downlink control channel transmissions that include resource allocations for the downlink shared channel transmissions. A UE using codebook-based acknowledgment feedback resources may thus unambiguously identify uplink resources that are to be used for transmitting the uplink acknowledgment feedback.

Generally, the described techniques provide for configuring group indices for uplink transmissions from a user equipment (UE) such that the UE may be able to determine whether to combine uplink transmissions scheduled on overlapping time resources. Specifically, the UE may combine uplink transmissions associated with a same group index for transmission in a single channel, and the UE may avoid combining uplink transmissions associated with different group indices. In some cases, the indication of a group index associated with an uplink transmission from a UE may be explicit (e.g., provided in a downlink control information (DCI) message), and, in other cases, the indication of a group index associated with an uplink transmission from a UE may be implicit (e.g., corresponding to a resource allocated for the uplink transmission).

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some cases, a user equipment (UE) may use multiple antenna ports to communicate with multiple transmission/reception points (TRPs), and each antenna port may correspond to a spatial dimension along which wireless communications may be transmitted. The UE may transmit a first sounding reference signal (SRS) to a serving TRP to aid the serving TRP in determining a subset of spatial dimensions available to the UE along which to transmit downlink transmissions. Upon receiving a downlink transmission from the serving TRP along the subset of spatial dimensions as determined by the serving TRP, the UE may transmit a second SRS to a neighboring TRP to indicate the subset of spatial dimensions. The neighboring TRP avoid transmitting downlink transmissions to the UE or to other UEs along the subset of spatial dimensions, thereby mitigating interference along the subset of spatial dimensions.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A transmitting device may transmit an expiration indication to a receiving device as part of a scheduling message for a transport block. The expiration indication may provide information related to an expiration time for the transport block. If the expiration time is reached prior to successful reception by a receiving device, the receiving device may assume that the transport block has expired and may refrain from transmitting a retransmission grant, or may empty a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARM) buffer associated with the transport block. If the transmitting device fails to successfully receive an indication from the receiving device of a successful reception of the transport block prior to the expiration period, the transmitting device may also assume that the transport block has expired.

Abstract: Techniques are described herein for allocating transmit power between precoding resource groups (PRGs) and/or transmit chains of a user equipment (UE) to reduce the amount of total transmit power that is unused. The UE may determine a set of precoding scaling factors for each PRG to efficiently allocate a total transmit power between the PRGs using a two-stage approach. During a first stage, the UE may determine PRG-specific precoding scaling factors for each PRG associated with an uplink transmission. During a second stage, the UE may determine a residual precoding scaling factor to apply to all the PRGs associated with the uplink transmission and determine overall precoding scaling factors for each PRG. The second stage may be configured to refine the scaling factors determined in the first stage such that at least some of the unused transmit power is allocated to at least one of the PRGs or transmit chains.
