Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. Some wireless communications systems may support a slot transmission detection procedure for sidelink communications. A sidelink user equipment may monitor, during a slot and within one or more subbands, for signaling associated with a first sidelink transmission that corresponds to resources that span a duration of the slot. The signaling may include sidelink control information, a demodulation reference signal, or other sidelink signaling associated with the first sidelink transmission. The user equipment may determine a signal strength or one or more other parameters associated with the signaling. The user equipment may determine whether to transmit a second sidelink transmission having a duration that is less than a first duration of the first sidelink transmission based on the signal strength, the one or more parameters, or both associated with the signaling.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for performing a common channel sensing procedure for transmissions via a mobile termination (MT) role or via a distributed unit (DU) role of an integrated access and backhaul (IAB) node, or both. In one aspect, the IAB node may obtain channel access for transmissions via the MT role or the DU role, or both, using the same channel sensing procedure. The IAB node may select a timing of a sensing slot for the common channel sensing procedure in accordance with a capability of the IAB node and a timing of the transmissions. The IAB node may initiate a channel occupancy time (COT) for the transmissions via the MT role or the DU role, or both, as a result of determining that a measured energy detection (ED) value satisfies an ED threshold.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some wireless communications systems, a base station may transmit a control channel such as a PDCCH using one or more control resource sets (CORESETs). A CORESET may be associated with a number of different transmission configuration indicator (TCI) states which may specify information that a UE may use to receive the PDCCH. In some cases, the UE may identify an association between resources of the CORESET and a number of TCI states assigned to a CORESET using various different multiplexing techniques, such as time division multiplexing (TDM). Some associations between the resources of the CORESET and the TCI states may include a mapping of the resources of the CORESET to the different TCI states. The UE may decode the PDCCH based on the different TDM techniques used to configure the CORESET.
