    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may be configured to receive a downlink control message scheduling multiple downlink transmission repetitions of multiple transport blocks (TBs), the downlink control message indicating a specified transmission configuration indicator (TCI) state for receiving the multiple downlink transmission repetitions according to the scheduling, the multiple downlink transmission repetitions including a first set of downlink transmission repetitions and a second set of downlink transmission repetitions. The UE may be configured to receive, via a default TCI state different from the specified TCI state, a first subset of downlink transmission repetitions from the first set of downlink transmission repetitions, the second set of downlink transmission repetitions, or both, based on a first time interval between a receipt of the downlink control message and a receipt of at least one downlink transmission repetition failing to satisfy a time duration.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may be configured to receive, from a base station, a common downlink control information (DCI) message indicating an update to a common beam which applies to a set of UEs, where for each UE of the set of UEs the common beam is shared across a set of channels, a set of reference signals, or both. The UE may receive, via the common DCI message, an indication of the set of UEs associated with the update to the common beam. The UE may then perform at least one beam switching procedure to update the common beam at the UE based on receiving the common DCI message and the UE being included within the set of UEs.

    Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for communicating uplink and downlink transmissions when a semi-statically configured scheduling occasion is overwritten by a slot format indicator. A method performed by a user equipment (UE) includes receiving a control message from a base station (BS) activating a semi-static scheduling configuration, wherein the semi-static scheduling configuration indicates a plurality of configured grant (CG) symbols in which the UE is scheduled to transmit at least one uplink transmission to the BS. The method may further include receiving, from the BS, a slot format indicator (SFI) that overwrites a subset of CG symbols of the plurality of CG symbols to be downlink symbols, and taking one or more actions to communicate at least one downlink transmission in the downlink symbols.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. The described techniques provide for a victim network entity to share a downlink preemption pattern with user equipments (UEs) and neighboring network entities. For example, the victim network entity may transmit, to a UE and/or a neighbor network entity, control signaling indicating a recurring downlink preemption pattern defining one or more resources during which the UE may preempt reception of downlink signaling and the victim and neighbor network entities may preempt transmission of downlink signaling. The UE and the network entities may refrain from monitoring for downlink transmissions and transmitting downlink transmissions, respectively, in accordance with the indicated downlink preemption pattern. In some examples, the UE and the network entities may be configured with one or more conditions for discarding the indicated downlink preemption pattern and monitoring the one or more resources for or transmitting downlink transmissions.

    Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and devices for wireless communication that support reliability enhancements for implicit beam switching operations. In a first aspect, a method of wireless communication includes transmitting, by a wireless communication device, a channel state information (CSI) report using a first beam; monitoring, by the wireless communication device, for an implicit beam switch indication during a time window, the implicit beam switch indication corresponding to acceptance of Transmission Configuration Indicator (TCI) information indicated by the CSI report; and switching, by the wireless communication device, to a second beam from the first beam based on the implicit beam switch indication, the second beam different from the first beam. Other aspects and features are also claimed and described.
