Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A method may include identifying a reference number of tones for an overhead channel of a transport block and segmenting the transport block into a code block based at least in part on the reference number of tones for the overhead channel. In some examples, a code block indicator or the reference number of tones may be transmitted on a control channel. Another method may include receiving a code block size indicator associated with a code block of a transport block, decoding the code block based at least in part on the code block size indicator and assembling the transport block based at least in part on the decoded code block. In some examples, the code block size indicator may be received using a control channel.

Abstract: A base station may transmit a quasi-collocation (QCL) relationship indication to a user equipment (UE) that indicates different QCL groups (e.g., QCL relationships corresponding to different port groups). The QCL relationship indication may include a tuple of transmission configuration indication (TCI)-states, TCI-states configured with TCI-state-sets, or multiple TCI-states indicated via an extended media access control (MAC) control element (CE). The QCL relationship indication may indicate a QCL relationship between one or more port groups of a first reference signal set and a plurality of port groups associated with a target reference signal. For example, the QCL relationship indication may indicate two QCL groups, where each QCL group includes a QCL relationship between a reference signal resource and a port group associated with a target reference signal. Using QCL group information, the UE may perform channel estimation for demodulating target reference signals, using the QCL antenna port group.

Abstract: Wireless communication devices are adapted to facilitate multiplexing of reference signals. According to one example, a wireless communication device can multiplex a first reference signal and a second reference signal utilizing code division multiplexing for transmission across a first resource element and a second resource element. The first resource element may utilize a first subcarrier in a first OFDM symbol employing a first numerology. The second resource element may utilize a second subcarrier in a second OFDM symbol employing a second numerology that is different from the first numerology, where the second subcarrier overlaps in frequency at least a portion of the first subcarrier. The first and second OFDM including the multiplexed first and second reference signals may subsequently be transmitted. Other aspects, embodiments, and features are also included.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, a resource grant for a data communication within a transmission time interval (TTI). The UE may receive, from the base station, an indication of a control signal configuration and an end symbol index associated with the resource grant. The UE may identify, based at least in part on the received indication, a plurality of symbol positions in the TTI in which reference signals are to be communicated in conjunction with the data communication.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a device may determine a nominal coding rate of a communication based at least in part on a modulation and coding scheme (MCS) of the communication; determine whether to use a first base graph or a second base graph for decoding or transmission of the communication, wherein the determination of whether to use the first base graph or the second base graph is based at least in part on the nominal coding rate and a transport block size (TBS) of the communication, and wherein the TBS is based at least in part on a nominal number of resources and the MCS of the communication; and perform the decoding or transmission based at least in part on the determination of whether to use the first base graph or the second base graph. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are disclosed. Flexible interleaving configurations may be employed to support various operations, including beamforming. Flexible interleaving may include dynamically or semi-statically determining a combination of bit-level, tone-level, tone-group level, or other interleaving technique for one or more transmissions. The interleaving configuration may be based on delay spread, a coherence bandwidth, a signal to noise ratio, a Doppler spread, or a combination thereof. An interleaving configuration may be a determination may be made by a base station or some other network entity and explicitly signaled to another device. Additionally or alternatively, the determination may be made based on one or more implicit rules, which may be based on a variety of factors (e.g., available bandwidth, modulation and coding scheme (MCS), code block (CB) size). Further, interleaving may be enabled (or disabled) under certain conditions.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. Some wireless communications systems support mobile broadband (MBB) communications and low latency communications. To accommodate low latency communications, a base station may identify resources allocated for MBB communications, and the base station may reassign (or puncture) these resources for low latency communications. The base station may transmit an indication of the reassigned (or punctured) resources to one or more user equipments (UEs). The base station may transmit an indication of the reassigned resources over a designated indication channel during a time period that is being reassigned for low latency communications (e.g., using a current indication). The base station may also transmit another or complementary indication of the reassigned resources in a subsequent time period (e.g., using a post indication), which may include supplemental or additional information.
