    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may identify a trigger event configuration for power headroom reporting for a first service type that has a lower latency condition and a higher reliability condition than a second service type. For example, the first service type may be for low latency communications, and the second service type may be for mobile broadband (MBB) communications. The UE may detect a trigger event for power headroom reporting for the first service type based on the trigger event configuration. The UE may transmit a power headroom report for the first service type based on detecting the trigger event. By transmitting the power headroom report for the first service type, the UE may indicate whether power boosting for the first service type is available.

    Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a first user equipment (UE) may send, to a second UE, a first physical sidelink shared channel (PSSCH) transmission. The first UE may select, for a second PSSCH transmission, a PSSCH resource for which a corresponding physical sidelink feedback channel (PSFCH) resource does not collide with one of a plurality of PSFCH transmissions in accordance with a repetition factor associated with the first PSSCH transmission. The first UE may send, to the second UE, the second PSSCH transmission via the PSSCH resource. Numerous other aspects are described.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for a first user equipment (UE) transmitting, to a second UE, a sidelink message that includes an unprecoded reference signal. The second UE may measure the unprecoded reference signal and select a precoding matrix. The second UE may transmit a precoding matrix indication (PMI) to the first UE. The first UE may then transmit at least one sidelink message that is at least partially precoded in accordance with the PMI. In some cases, the first UE and the second UE may communicate according to a unprecoded transmission and precoded transmission pattern, where a new PMI is selected, using an unprecoded transmission, after a predefined number of precoded transmissions.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) configured for a periodic channel stat information (CSI) reference signal (CSI-RS) configuration may request an update for one or more parameters of the periodic CSI-RS configuration. For example, the UE may transmit request to a base station for a longer periodicity based on detecting a low Doppler scenario or little variance to wireless channel conditions, or the UE may request a shorter periodicity based on detecting a high Doppler scenario or high variance to wireless channel conditions. The base station may update a configuration for CSI or for CSI-RS based on the request. For example, the base station may update a periodicity for the periodic CSI-RS configuration based on the requested periodicity.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices are described for handling transmissions or channels in wireless communications that collide with one another. The described techniques relate to handling the collision between multiple overlapping channels (e.g., two or more channels of the same priority). For example, a collision resolution configuration may include resolving the collisions among the channels of the same priority first (e.g., feedback information transmissions first, and then control information), among the channels of the same service type first (e.g., normal channels first, and then low latency channel(s)), or across all of the channels of all priorities at once. Collisions may be resolved by dropping or rescheduling overlapping information from the lower priority transmission(s) or channel(s) in consideration of the higher priority transmission(s) or channel(s), or by multiplexing or piggybacking overlapping information from a first priority transmission(s) or channel(s) with a second priority transmission(s) or channel(s).

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that provide for a transmitter (e.g., a user equipment (UE) or base station) and receiver (e.g., a UE or base station) to transmit and receive data packets that are encoded according to an outer coding technique. The outer coding technique may provide for data bits and parity bits to be included in a single physical layer transmission. In some cases, data packets (e.g., data bits) may be segmented into multiple subpackets, and coding may be performed across different subpackets of different data packets (e.g., in a diagonal coding pattern). In some examples, each transmission in the physical layer may contain both data subpackets and parity subpackets, which may balance an input and an output load of a buffer (e.g., a layer two (L2) decoding buffer at the receiver) during decoding.

    Abstract: A user equipment for wireless communications includes a memory configured to store a peak reduction tone (PRT) table and a processor configured to retrieve a plurality of PRT sequences from the PRT table. The plurality of PRT sequences includes a first PRT sequence based upon a first data rate and a second PRT sequence based upon a second data rate. The second data rate is larger than the first data rate, and the second PRT sequence is a subset of the first PRT sequence. The user equipment also includes a power amplifier operable to transmit data with the first PRT sequence according to the first data rate or with the second PRT sequence according to the second data rate.
