    摘要: Systems and methods for adaptively forming a transmission beam to optimize data transmissions to one or more receivers (mobile stations). In one embodiment, a method comprises varying a transmission beam pattern by controlling a parameter such as the phase shift between a primary transmission signal and a secondary transmission signal. As the beam pattern is varied, data is collected on the performance of communications using the beam. The data is then examined to identify values of the control parameter for which performance is maximized. The control parameter is then maintained at these values for longer periods of time than those values for which performance is lower. Data throughput can thereby be increased for situations in which there are relatively few mobile stations in the sector.

    摘要: This invention provides a circuit and a method for interfacing a subscriber information module, SIM to a base band controller for a mobile phone. It provides voltage level shifting to allow a low voltage base band controller chip to interface to a higher voltage SIM card. The higher voltage bus goes to the SIM card of a mobile phone. The subscriber information module typically contains personal information such as telephone number, identification codes and pin numbers. The circuit of this invention uses active transistor pull-down and pull-up mechanisms. The active pull-up is active for less than one bit time so that the SIM card sees only a 20 kilo ohm resistor allowing performances equal to or better than ISO7816 specifications.

When the controller receives the sensing signal, it controls a switching unit having switches. If there is data to be inputted from the jack connector within a predetermined time period, the controller recognizes that the digital camera has been connected to the jack connector and then changes an operating mode to a camera mode. On the other hand, if there is no data to be inputted from the jack connector for the predetermined time period, the controller recognizes that the ear-microphone has been connected to the jack connector and then changes the operating mode to an ear-microphone mode.
