    摘要: An accelerator module comprises a printed circuit board having resistance elements mounted thereon, and an actuator pivotably mounted upon the printed circuit board and having a wiper member mounted upon a first end of the actuator. A rotary input shaft, connected to an accelerator pedal of an electric vehicle, has an input shaft arm fixedly mounted thereon, and the input shaft arm is pivotably connected to a second end of the actuator whereby the structural arrangement defines a mechanically advantaged linkage system whereby a predetermined pivotable movement of the rotary input shaft and its associated input shaft arm translates into an enhanced, enlarged, or magnified pivotable movement of the actuator and its associated wiper member for movement along the resistance elements of the printed circuit board.

    摘要: A rotary switch is disclosed which has a ferrule, rotor and stator assembly housed within a plastic cylindrically shaped housing. The ends of the housing are uniquely folded to hold the ferrule and stator in end positions within the housing on edges located on the interior wall the housing. The rotor has a shaft which is rotatably mounted in the ferrule for relative movement over the stator. Stationary contacts are provided on the stator, while moveable ball contacts carried by the rotor seat on the stator for displacement relative to the stationary contacts upon turning of the rotor via the shaft. A detent mechanism cooperates with the interior wall of the housing to establish detent positions corresponding with predetermined electrical coupling of the stator contacts by the ball contacts.This housing arrangement provides a relatively simple and inexpensive rotary switch of relatively small sized which has a high switch capacity.

    摘要: An electrical rotary switch having a housing formed of an electrically insulative material and including a plurality of fixed electrically conductive contacts therein. A rotatable contact is arranged to be rotated into a plurality of positions and includes electrically conductive means to electrically interconnect selected ones of the fixed contacts depending upon the rotational position of the contactor. A detent mechanism is located in the housing and comprises a generally planar, frame-like plate formed of a resilient material and having an opposed pair of elongated arms extending generally parallel to each other and interconnected adjacent their respective ends by cantilever arms. The cantilever arms form tapering cam surfaces which are adapted to engage diametrically opposed recesses in the rotatable contactor to establish the various rotational positions of the rotatable contactor. The decent plate is located within a recess in the housing. The housing also includes plurality of electrically conductive insulation displacement connectors electrically connected to the fixed contacts. At least one break-away block is provided in the housing and adjacent the insulation displacement connectors. The block is arranged to be displaced by a force provided thereto to cause it to break away from the housing to move into a position carrying the electrically conductive wires into the insulation displacement connectors so that electrical continuity is established therebetween. Both the block and the housing include recess portions which cooperate with each other to provide passages through which the electrical wires extend into the housing once connection is effected.

    摘要: A stack of low-voltage thumbwheel multiposition switches may be produced from individual switches, each including a relatively flat dielectric housing defining a cavity within which is formed a cylindrical island which may be integral with one wall of the housing. A plurality of elongated electrical conductors may be located in predetermined positions within niches in the periphery of the island. The island rotatably supports an annular conductive element having a resilient spring element which may selectively be placed into contact with each of the elongated conductors, depending upon the rotational position of the annular element. A serrated surface on the periphery of the annular element may be in constant contact with a spring-biased resilient brush member which extends out of the housing for attachment to suitable circuitry. An operator may rotate the annular element by pressing his finger against the serrated periphery thereof. A plurality of such switches may be stacked one against the other, with the elongated conductors extending through all of the switches, by means of an extension on each island which may be formed integral therewith and which may be received in a complementary bore in the island of the adjacent switch.

    摘要: In an electrical switch of the type having groups of fixed contacts carried by a stator and arranged to be connected together in pairs by one or more movable contacts carried by a rotor, a spindle for rotating the rotor and indexing means for locating the rotor at predetermined positions in relation to the stator. The rotor is formed as an integral one-piece molding comprising the spindle, a supporting disc for the movable contacts, with the disc having a plurality of integral pips spaced therearound for locating the movable contacts, and integrally molded indexing forms. A detent cooperates with the indexing forms to complete the indexing means. The rotor may also include an integrally molded stop to limit the rotational movement by cooperating with one or more fixed stops. Also, the spindle may be extended beyond the disc to terminate in a reduced diameter bearing portion in an aperture in the stator.
