A control assembly is attached to the plug for unseating and seating of the plug within the valve body. The plug includes at least one plug portion having openings corresponding to an interior configuration. Ring cords substantially surround the openings in the plug to create a seal therearound. The plug may include upper and lower plug portions with an untapered portion located between them. An O-ring is located on the untapered portion of the plug to maintain separation between the upper and lower plug portions.

    摘要: An assembly for generating a negative pressure in an industrial process includes a plurality of interconnected units formed with wedge-shaped connections in their mutually contacting surfaces. Intermediate units in the assembly, such as an ejector housing, are formed in each contact surface thereof with the same type of connections. Accordingly, one end of the unit includes a female connection on one side thereof, and a male connection on the opposite side, whereas the other end of the unit includes a male connection on the first side and a female connection on the opposite side. The connections include inclined slide surfaces, providing a hook mount which presses the units together in a wedging effect as the units are axially displaced relative to each other. The displacement is produced by a bolt acting between the units.

    摘要: A valve assembly includes a valve body formed of a cylinder having upper and lower ends with an inlet port at one end, an outlet port on an opposite end and at least one side outlet port. An annular ring element has upper and lower ends on which are formed upper and lower valve seats, respectively, the ring being sealed around its periphery on each end to the valve body. A central portion of the ring connecting the upper and lower ends has at least one and preferably about 6 to 8 openings therethrough in fluid flow communication with the side outlet port. An actuator assembly fitted in the cylinder includes actuators, concentrically fitted actuator rods valve stems and valve plugs for opening and closing the two valve ports by engaging the valve seats on opposite sides of the ring. The rod for the upper valve seat is in the form of a hollow cylinder concentric and coaxial with the actuator rod for the lower seat, the first and second rods being independently actuatable. An independently controllable actuator assembly in the side outlet port includes a valve actuator, an actuator rod attached to and a valve plug for closing the outlet port. The outlet port, when open is in flow communication with a drain open to the atmosphere whereby liquids can be drained by gravity from the space between the annular ring and the cylinder when the side outlet is open.

    摘要: An interface for connecting a first vacuum source to a first vacuum apparatus, and for selectively connecting the first vacuum source and the first vacuum apparatus to a second vacuum apparatus without venting the first vacuum apparatus. A third fitting is connected to the first vacuum source, and makes a hermetic seal between the first vacuum source and the interface. A vacuum source line, having a first end and a second end, is connected by its first end to the third fitting. The vacuum source line receives a vacuum from the first vacuum source, and conducts the vacuum through the vacuum source line. A first tee section, having a first end and a second end, is connected by its first end to the second end of the vacuum source line. The first tee section receives the vacuum from the vacuum source line and conducts the vacuum through the first tee section. A first fitting is connected to the second end of the first tee section, and connects the first tee section to the first vacuum apparatus by making a hermetic seal between the interface and the first vacuum apparatus. The first fitting conducts the vacuum to the first vacuum apparatus. A second tee section, having a first end, a second end, and a second volume, is connected by its first end to the second end of the vacuum source line. The second tee section receives the vacuum from the vacuum source line and the first tee section and conducts the vacuum through the second tee section. The second volume of the second tee section is no greater than about two percent of the first volume of the first vacuum apparatus. A valve, having a first end and a second end, it connected by its first end to the second end of the second tee section. The valve selectively makes a hermetic seal at the second end of the second tee section, and alternately conducts at least a portion of the vacuum conducted through the second tee section. A second fitting is connected to the second end of the valve, and selectively connects the valve to the second vacuum apparatus, and makes a hermetic seal between the interface and the second vacuum apparatus.
