    摘要： A washing machine having an impulse pulsator is disclosed. The washing machine has a pulsator assembly having a first pulsator rotating in the washing tub and the impulse pulsator assembled with the first pulsator. The first pulsator has a supporting bar being extended to the axis direction thereof, and the impulse pulsator has a cylinder part assembled with the supporting bar by insertion. On an outer surface of the cylinder part, many wings are disposed symmetrically to be centered with the axis. The first pulsator and the impulse pulsator are fixed with each other to be capable of relative rotation within a predetermined angular distance. When the motor begins to drive the pulsator assembly, the first pulsator begins to be rotated first, and after the rotation of the first pulsator at the predetermined angular distance, the impulse pulsator begins to be rotated by the first pulsator. Due to the wings of the impulse pulsator, a strong water current is generated in the upper part of the washing tub, so that the washing efficiency is improved. In that situation, the water current in the lower part in the washing tub by the first pulsator and the water current in the upper part in the washing tub by the impulse pulsator are generated at different times from each other. Accordingly, the turbulent force between the water and the laundry is greater, and the washing efficiency is much improved.

The washing machine has a pulsator reception part, a washing tub body and a plurality of annular flat bases. The pulsator reception part has an opening in the bottom center portion thereof and rotatably receives the pulsator. The washing tub body is formed on the pulsator reception part and has a plurality of cylindrical side walls which are progressively reduced in diameters from the lower portion to the upper portion thereof. The plurality of annular flat bases each have a plurality of holes and connect the lower end of one of the plurality of cylindrical side walls with the upper end of another one of the plurality of cylindrical side walls.

    摘要： An agitator for a clothes washing machine including a center post extending into the clothes receiving receptacle and upon which is mounted a vertically reciprocable agitator member including an agitator element extending radially outward from the center post. The agitator element is mounted on a nut member which mates with a thread formed on the center post, such that upon relative rotation between the agitator element and the center post, vertical reciprocation of the agitator element takes place to induce turnover motion of the clothes. The center post is oscillated to cause the reciprocation by engagement of the agitator element with clothes disposed in the machine during the wash cycle. The agitator element is configured with a downwardly extending flared skirt portion having scalloped edges to increase the interengagement with the clothes. The flared shape of the agitator element causes a net downward force on the clothes drawing them downwardly along the center post. The agitator in one version also includes radial vanes located on an agitator bell portion integral with the center post or, alternatively, a plurality of agitator skirt elements are provided without the provision of the agitator radial vanes. The agitator skirt elements may also be perforated to produce a water surging action.
