摘要： A method for controlling a host apparatus is provided by the present invention. When the host apparatus receives a sending message from a mobile device, the sending message is scanned by the host apparatus, so as to determine whether or not a requirement command is attached into the sending message. Wherein, a file is attached into the sending message. If the requirement command is attached into the sending message, the method would identify the requirement command. When the requirement command is a print requirement command, the method would make the host apparatus driving a printer connected to the host apparatus to print the file.

摘要： A system and method for configuring a customized sample job for monitoring print quality and increasing proofing flexibility. A sample job comprising one or more pages can be created in association with print programming attributes utilizing a document creation application. The sample job can be raster image processed with respect to a user specified job setting and stored in an electronic memory component (e.g., DFE component, computer memory, Flash memory, USB memory, etc) as a custom sample job. The custom sample job can be then selected with respect to a primary rendering job in order to render a sample page based on a predefined frequency interval (e.g., after every N sheets) to a sample tray. The frequency interval associated with the custom sample job production can be predefined on a job-by-job and/or global basis by a user.

摘要： A system and method for customizing and printing custom designed stickers allows a user to select almost unlimited designs (e.g., colors, patterns, artwork, photographs) and to print the selected designs on a blank sticker sheet. The system and method thus allows a retail store to stock blank sticker sheets, avoids the inefficiencies of having to stock stickers with a wide variety of unique colors and patterns, and allows a user to create stickers with a user created design. Although the exemplary embodiments show alphabet stickers, the system and method may be used to custom design and print any type of sticker including, without limitation, message stickers, frame stickers and icon stickers.

The mechanism involves marking a digital image file with metadata that indicates a processing lab at which an image in the file should be printed. In turn, the mechanism involves reading the metadata indication from the file to identify the processing lab where the image should be printed and responsively sending the image file to that designated processing lab. Such digital image files could be sent to an image hub, which could then read the metadata indications from the files and responsively route the files to designated processing labs for printing.
