Generation of pile yarn dust during manufacturing process is minor, and trouble with exposure and development caused by adhesion of pile yarn dust is solved even under high temperature and high humidity conditions.

The inner wall of the double wall portions of the shell prevents light from intruding into the cassette through perforations in the outer shell wall and makes the cassette perfectly light-tight.

摘要： The invention comprises a light-tight dispenser for rolled sheet materials, such as negative stock, emulsified paper, and like photographic supplies, having nipping rollers for paying-out of the rolled materials, and a translatable blade for severing a selected length of payed-out material. The dispenser is suspensible from a vertical surface, such as a wall of a room or a panel of a camera unit (which latter may have an entry access for a severed length of the material). The dispenser has a channel which defines a rectilinear frame in which a sheet material cassette is light-sealingly nested and restrained. The cassette intimately engages the innermost portion of the channel to feed sheet material therefrom to the aforesaid nipping rollers, which are in adjacency thereto. The aforesaid frame has a given depth which assures light-sealing of the nested cassette, and the latter and the channel have camming structures cooperative, upon the cassette being inserted into the frame, to cause a sheet material-discharging, leading portion of the cassette to open slightly to facilitate pay-out of the material therewithin.

摘要： A drum is mounted rotationally in a cassette. A series of roller shafts are arranged around the drum and move radially. A web inserted into the cassette is forced against the drum by the roller shafts and causes the drum to move in frictional engagement with the web. As additional web material is forced into the cassette, convolutional layers of the web built on the drum forcing the roller shafts outwardly and permitting the drum to wind the web without any rotational motion imparted to the drum except for that of the web.

摘要： A container is disclosed for dispensing strip material having a light-sensitive layer on one side. A slot through which the strip material can be pulled from a roll of such material within the container has a first lip and a second lip spring resiliently urged toward the first lip. The lips are shaped so that tension in the strip material therebetween produces a resultant force which opposes the resilient force to reduce or eliminate pressure between the light-sensistive layer and the first lip.

This is performed by deforming a portion of the photographic material so as to prevent the tendency to curl to allow positive selfleading through the roller type processing equipment. Another embodiment of the invention provides a one-piece, partially curled, photographic material wherein curl has been removed from a portion, thus making the film suitable for photographic processing equipment.Another embodiment provides an apparatus for preventing curl in a portion of photographic material.

摘要： A winding apparatus for webs of photosensitive material has a core provided with a transverse slot and rotatably mounted on a fixed shaft in the housing of a cassette. The cassette contains a pivotable guide whose discharge end can register with the inlet of the slot in a predetermined angular position of the core so as to feed the leader of a web into the slot. The core is surrounded by a removable sleeve which can be slid onto the core only when the latter assumes the predetermined angular position and when an opening of the sleeve registers with the inlet of the slot. When the leader extends into the slot, the core is rotated by a worm drive so that the web is convoluted onto the sleeve and can be removed with the sleeve for transfer to another processing station. The housing of the cassette has a removable cover which can be attached to the shaft for the core only when the core is properly oriented relative to the guide and when the sleeve is properly applied onto the core.
