    摘要: A method for exciting chemical bonds in molecules using an electromagnetic field includes the step of generating a plurality of electromagnetic oscillation modes. The oscillation modes redistributing respective mode energies between themselves. Energy derived from the redistributed mode energies is used to impart energy to at least one pair of electrons comprising a chemical bond, thus exciting these electrons. The process can be used even when all electrons are paired. The method can be used for synthesizing compounds, quantum mechanical pumping of chemical bonds and for characterization of materials. An apparatus for exciting chemical bonds in molecules using an electromagnetic field includes a structure for generating a plurality of electromagnetic oscillation modes, the oscillation modes redistributing respective mode energies between themselves. The structure for generating a plurality of electromagnetic oscillation modes preferably includes a self-sustained oscillation system having distributed parameters.

In the process, a medium is contacted with a radical lithium phthalocyanine in accordance with the formula: ##STR1## in which R.sup.2, R.sup.3, R.sup.6, R.sup.7, R.sup.10, R.sup.11, R.sup.14 and R.sup.15 represent an alkyl or an alkoxy radical group with 1-3 carbon atoms and R.sup.1, R.sup.4, R.sup.5, R.sup.8, R.sup.9, R.sup.12, R.sup.13 and R.sup.16 represent a hydrogen or deuterium atom, and the EPR signal of the radical lithium phthalocyanine in contact with the medium is examined.

This rate of reduction provides a measure of thioredoxin reductase activity at the surface of the cells.

    摘要: Detection of spin nucleus resonance (NMR) precession signal/peak of at least one atom or molecule of a sample material placed on a sample electrode while a static uniform magnetic field of a determined strength is induced through it is achieved by applying an alternating bias voltage to a tunneling tip in a frequency at least greater than an NMR frequency range and smaller than a hyperfine electron spin resonance (ESR) frequency range for alternatingly changing within each cycle of the alternating bias voltage at least one atom or molecule of a sample material between diamagnetic and paramagnetic states, and analysing a measured electrical tunneling current passing through the sample electrode. A plurality of hyperfine ESR signals/peaks are identified in the measured electrical tunneling current, each of which associated with a respective cycle of the alternating bias voltage, and a respective hyperfine ESR frequency thereof is determined.

    摘要: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide methods and apparatus for performing electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) spectroscopy on a fluid from a flowing well, such as fluid from hydrocarbon recovery operations flowing in a downhole tubular, wellhead, or pipeline. One example method generally includes, for a first EPR iteration, performing a first frequency sweep of discrete electromagnetic frequencies on a cavity containing the fluid; determining first parameter values of reflected signals from the first frequency sweep; selecting a first discrete frequency corresponding to one of the first parameter values that is less than a threshold value; activating a first electromagnetic field in the fluid at the first discrete frequency; and while the first electromagnetic field is activated, performing a first DC magnetic field sweep to generate a first EPR spectrum.
